Any of you guys who are all loved up got any tips for how you handle things with the mrs? As I work FT, I thought it might be a good idea to have allocated nights for poker rather than playing the odd set every night... Probably would also help if I actually won some money too...

^ this + buy her something with some of the money you win. It doesn't have to be expensive, but make sure she knows you bought it with poker winnings. Its better if its something, like jewelry, that she will keep for a long time. This has gone a long way for me being able to play almost whenever I want without much hassle. It has also led to her endorsement of me taking several trips to Vegas without her coming with

I would usually bitch out on buying a gift but growing up this cousin and her sister were like siblings to me. I feel sort of obligated to show some thought/effort.

Also

Miller Time IMO.

moving to FTP from stars, what is the equivalent on FTP to stars 9 man turbos?

Is it just the normal sngs or the turbo ones on FTP? What do most people play on here?

Wedding are expensive. I know I'd prefer cash over some gift that I might like. Plus, if his wife sees it she might get mad since that's obviously only a gift for him. If you insist on getting him bourbon or whatever make sure it's under the table.

Get Sake. It's cool and unique and everyone loves it.

why

the games are full of regs already.

turbo = turbo.

FTP turbos have smaller blind increases, but shorter levels and no antes.

I have been doomswitched to death in 2010 from stars, and I'll be losing my supernova at the end of the month. Just hit my 31k FPP for the concierge bonus, and I'm proud to announce I may just have played my last ever sng on stars. Good riddance.

See I would prefer cash as well but I think we (poker or math/logic minded folks) tend to believe everyone should think like us. This seems like the type of situation where people don't think strictly in terms of value. But the point about it only being a gift for him is a good one.

So I'm buying a 2004 1500 silverado w 70k miles for $1300 + $400 or so to get it out of an impound lot. Someone got arrested on serious charges and won't be needing it for 5-15 years. Blue books for $5500 in fair condition, also has sound system and 22" rims. Flipaments IMO. Wondering about what to do with insurance, can I buy it month to month or do I have to get a 6 month plan, cancel it when i resell and get a smaller portion back?

If I don't get tags I don't need insurance, but I'll probably want to use it for a bit and find out if/what needs to be worked on.

Shut up we all know Stars is unbeatable. No sense beating your head against the wall when you can just move over the land of milk and honey.

Note to self, avoid any snow cornices when hiking: http://www.cnn.com/2010/US/02/16/was...ex.html?hpt=T1

Now I just need to find out what a cornice is.

Turbos are turbos. I've heard that the competition on FTP is slightly softer (never played on stars, can't confirm it) so you can probably play higher than on stars. But, the rake is higher and the bonus programs are quite a bit worse.

Also, try out the super turbos. If you are a good pushbot, you shouldn't have to adjust much and they can be a nice change of pace.

Other than the obvious "guy might get out and try and kill you" what, if anythings are the downside to this? How did you find out about the car?

I'll be in the market for a car after I grind some over the summer and it sounds like you got a hell of a deal.
