My BR has taken a big hit during the last two weeks so I really have to do something about it. Since STT's are the only type of tournaments that I have a negative ROI at, I'm definitely doing something wrong. I really didin't play a lot of STT's since I didn't really like to play 'em. But variance is the lowest, top 33% players get payed and variance is the lowest. Lately I've finished in the money something like 1/15 when it comes to MTT - never the less ROI is still around 70%, but my BR is down to 160$ and I play mostly 5$ MTTs - a bit low to confortably play MTTs at that stakes.

I really have to start grinding with STTs, to get above 200$ again, so I can start playing MTTs again. Or if I'll manage to get a good ROI in STTs, keep playing 'em. The upside of the STTs is the short period of time you need to play/finish them. Because sometimes I'm really don't have a few hours at my disposal, nor do I have the will to play for a few or even 6+ hours...

You could also play cheaper MTTs for a while if you prefer those. Stars has the $2.20 180 man turbo, $3.25 45 man, 3.40 18 man.

I'll check FAQ, tnx.

As for turbos, I don't really like them, since there's no real time to play or outplay opp, most depends on luck. I will however try the 45, 18 I already play sometimes.

Most players on this forum play turbos, even if luck is more involved than in a regular SNG, good players still have a good edge on bad ones.
But with a tiny BR, regular SNG's are the way to go IMO.

SLO - there is luck in all forms of poker. there is a lot of skill in turbos. if u learn to play them properly they will be very profitable for u. gl.

45 mans are awesome. I recommend turbos too, but when your starting out I would recommend non turbos so you can get used to it. Turbos CAN be seemingly fast paced and youll get overwhelmed by it if you just jump right in. Start with regular paced tournys and youll get used to the flow of the games, then you can move into turbo. Turbos are in general better cause people overcommit and raise too much.

If MTTs are your strong game I suggest rebuilding by multi tabling the 10 cents 360 player turbo SnG.

I believe the play is so soft that a 50%+ ROI is not unreasonable to expect for a seasoned micro limit MTT player (especially since there's no vig), and if you can play say 9 at a time it's not unreasonable to assume you could make a couple of dollars (or more) per hour.

Which is pretty good on a $160 roll.
