early on...anyone play this different? check turn or just bet bet call as I did?

Urgh I hate this.
Not the way you played it, just the way it panned out.
Pre: Ya fine, maybe I make it 175 but w/e it's marginal.
Flop: Not the best flop for you, but got to bet, nice betsize.
Turn: Good turn, I get there being 700 in the pot now, I preffer a smaller betsize here, 350-400 just to control potsize as it's not the best board to get paid on for overpair.
River: Ew. Completes the spade draw or could just be vbettting with the ten. He's bet 878 into 1700 pot, man I hate this spot. I really dunno, in actual fact I always snap off here when playing, but theoretically I'm not too sure.

Good hand to post up, look forward to reading replies.

There is essentially nothing you can beat on river that makes that bet size. He is begging to be called, so I fold.

I fold to what looks like a value bet unless I have seen villain get out of line.
