seeing this a lot and it really puts me in a spot where I feel I need to raise but then I turn my hand face up and lose a chance at value

not much to do? raise less?

With these stacks you don't want them to set the price that low, so the raise is pretty mandatory imo. Pretty sure they were just gonna fold to your c-bet if they would have checked anyway, so take the 500 and feel good about it.

I know these spots are frustrating, but there's way too many bad cards for you to flat this. The only thing you can do diff is rasing smaller like a flat 2K, but I prefer what you did.

i usually just raise to the amount i was going to bet like 1700 but these donk bets are bad players' way of checking so he gave you 500 that a good player wouldn't have

also...this is future odds, if you see someone doing this you can play a lot of suited connectors against them the same way you play high pairs, for example if you had JThh here he would be handing money over to you

when people bet too little you can play more draws against them
