making one thread to appease those who whine that I make too many and because the same villan appears in both hands

Hand 1 I just got to table...was the second barrel shove righteous given the turn card?

Is hand 2 standard given the positions?

If you are going to post standard just move on without wasting your time...

Hand 1: If by righteous you mean profitable, then yes. I think you get a fold at least 50% of the time here readless. With reads, obviously this would be much easier as I think villain's range is weighted towards pocket pairs, specifically 55's through 99's. Obviously 99 is calling, but your average $11 donk may find a fold with 55-88 at least half the time given the strength you've shown in the hand.

Hand 2: This is a tough spot readless imo as we have no idea if villain is capable of 3-betting light. I doubt your 4-bet gets called by worse unless you guys have some sort of BSB history. Best case you are flipping against a pocket pair and worse case you are dominated. Readless I don't mind a fold, although I certainly wouldn't make a habit of raise folding AJ on the button with 35BB's, but I think we are a bit too deep to get it in. We are also a bit too shallow to flat and try to play in position. In the end when I am in a situation like this where I all my options seem crappy, I generally take a low variance route and fold. If we had any sort of history with this player at all, I think our options become much clearer.
