still $500-600 pre...then evaluate board texture

How about a 9 Q 9 board texture? (I was really asking about flop play and beyond, maybe I should have mentioned this)

Yes, a shove may look bluffy, but can he call w A high?... Only calls are queens, nines, pps, maybe draws. ...IMO only shove if you want 85% folds and 15% calls.

500-600 on flop... give the big stack odds to draw to strt... hope the K makes his strt.,,,,, and you a FH. Let the 88 have hope and dreams of future wealth. Make them make a hard decsion and give them the chance to make a mistake. Make the world a better place by giving everyone hope. Then crush them like a bug.

you guys need to remember that I said the villan had not been spewy post...for some I may put a 1/2 pot inducer but this guy seemed like the let others do the betting type...

maybe he calls a smaller bet...

wow...I really never considered that small a bet and yet now everyone says its standard

its a nonturbo and youve got a shortstack... shove pre. If it was a turbo I would prob raise 5x and shove any flop

i think this spot is more about doing what will most likely make the villain spaz, rather than range balancing. i am really on doing it to induce a shove, but he doesnt know that.

villain sees a small bet on that flop, and either thinks you have it, or thinks you hate it and are FOS.

after looking at the hand, its pretty damn likely villain is clueless. flatting a 13bb open from UTG...i actually like doing something dumb like 450 because he may call with his whole range and end up with good odds to call a turn shove

I'd just make a normal size c bet, where normal is the same size for what you have been c betting in previous pots in that particular tourney. For me, that's generally around 55% of the pot.
