4 tables remain out of 1200+ entries
Blinds are 10k 20k with BB ante

Hero is sb with KQo
Hero has ~490k and covers BB also

UTG new to table/no reads, open jams 350k
Folds to hero?

Easy fold. ICM and open jam for 17xBB may not be strong, but you are usually a little behind the low end of his range, weak aces and small pps.

Yeah this is a clear fold. UTG’s range isn’t going to be that wide and his weaker hands are going to be PPs that are ahead anyway.

As pointed out, there will be some Ax. Likely AJ+/ATs possibly wider. We don't do well against that and are likely crippled against AK/AQ.

We do OK against 66-JJ but are still underdogs in those flips.

I would wait for a better spot.

And of course BB can wake up with a hand too.

Thanks, quick question do you guys think this plays more like a 17bb jam instead of a ~8.5bb jam due to bb ante? I don’t know how to calculate here

No, it isn't. It is essentially the same as individual antes "consolidated" as the BB is still the BB.

If you want another way to look at the situation, read HoH and his "M" concept.

KQ is probably bottom of V's shoving range from UTG, if it even makes it in there, so we're either dominated or flipping. Pretty obvious, so if we're thinking about reshoving then we might be better off playing at the roulette table
