Main Villain. Loose Aggressive , by Seniors standards anyway, opens to 2.5 BB, called by a player new to the table. I have AQo in SB, with 40 BB. I squeeze to 10 BB, LAS goes all in for 55ish BB, other player folds. I have a tight, somewhat aggressive image, from how I have played so far

Call or fold?

This shouldn't be a total surprise.

If your original read is good, Villain is likely to be shoving with a lot of PPs and a few premium Broadways. I'll provisionally put him on 77+/AJs+/AKo
You've got 42% equity in that case. There's enough dead money in the pot that it warrants a call, though you're at serious risk of going broke on this hand.

If you think Villain is aggressive enough to do this with KQs and a few weaker Aces, your equity goes up. Not sure I'd hold out much hope, though. I don't think his range is likely to be hugely tighter, and even if he's doing this only with TT+ on the pairs, it doesn't change the math much.

The tougher question is: Did it make sense to get aggressive with AQo against an LAG opponent who isn't likely to respect your raise. Probably not. With AK, sure. But as it's played out, you're a bit like the proverbial guy who brought a knife to a gunfight.

Flat call AQ. 3b hands to gii or bluffs unless deep.

I fold here as played. Only real hope is JJ or TT and thats not going to happen much.

I would also just flat in SB. Not only avoids this spot but what do you do if you get a call (OOP in bloated pot vs premium hand)?

I guess I need to be more polarized with my squeezes here.

Depends what position the OR was in. A lot of the time I'd definitely 3b AQo here.

I agree with being slightly more polarised here. If he is LAG do we expect him to barrel off sometimes on A high board? If so, AQ is a great hand to take to a flop and call down.

I would 3bet call jam in this spot with AK and JJ+ and mix in some suited ace bluffs too.
