Your position was too early for postflop play. The downside of limping is that you're OOP if CO or BTN overlimp, and the opponents are unlikely to shove because the limp looks suspicious from a 9 bb stack when you're expected to play push or fold, though I don't know the Ignition population tendencies, maybe you were correct if triple-up games are full of loose cannons But I'd normally never limp below 12 bb readless in early positions, sometimes minraise AA/KK (to induce) but shove the rest of the playable range.
Thanks ****. As far as Ignition goes, I see all types of players but I have seen a lot of calls from pairs lately and I've been getting beat pretty badly against them. But I'm guessing in the long run I'll still be making the right play, especially when down trying to make moves at this point in the game. Is this the right thinking?
