shud i have checked and waited to see how he played it, i dnt htink im good enough to lay that down unless he insta shoved but even then idk...any advice?

No, definitely bet that turn for value. Considering he only has 1/2 PSB left, you should just bet/call like you did here. You don't want to check and give him a free card if he has the As or some sort of weird combo draw. WP OP, looks like you got unlucky by the sounds of it.

ok yea maybe ship the turn obv same result but i guess that wud b the way to play, i just figured he was callin me down if i value bet and then at that point he wud call the river bet to put him all in regardless, so i wanted to get the max chips gthat i cud....little did i know lol jokes on me...o well ..thing that sucks is i was cl of that 45 man with 10 left n that guy was 2nd cl...always seems to happen that way doesnt it lol

just shove or fold pre. stacksizes are bad to play postflop and you may fold out some Ax he is raising, or even pairs.

even thinking of making anything different OTT is...
