They are all "straightforward old guys" but are you a cap and sunglasses wearing, ipod listening "internet smartass"? 
Not enough information for me here - but it sounds like a bad spot with 6 people to act and your M is right where you don't want to be doing this IMO, too much to lose and not enough to make many people throw away many better hands.
