the pf call is fine imo. id instafold post vs that sizing. we only flip with draws, and theyd c/s this flop more often than donk a pot.

Tough spot considering stack sizes. I think calling is fine with the intention of hoping for a flop just like this, or one less desirable with intention to feel it out.

As played, like shoving over top. If we're not playing back at him on this flop, then we shouldn't have called in the first place. Needless to say, this isn't a set mining opportunity.

This is hard with no reads. Call preflop is ok but i would instafold vs a TAG. Fold flop based on bet sizing

I would fold pre to the ep 3x without other reads.

why are people saying that calling pre for > 10% of the effective stacks against an unknown 3x is ok?

    Yeh, think pre is bad.

When he pots the low flop, it looks to me like AK/AQ or a flush draw trying to get the money in, or maybe 77-TT trying to protect the hand. AA/KK probably doesn't bet so big preflop or postflop. I think I would push with this flop and sizing.

i don't understand why we're calling pre to fold this flop..seems like fold pre vs unknown ep opener

Yeah i obviously folded flop but it got me thinking about this spot pre readless.

I am not only calling here to set mine i think i am up against AK/AQ/77/QK often enough to call and play a reasonable hand in position but i could be wrong.

Those who are folding pre here what about 99/TT/AQo ?? Or is 88 the best hand you fold pre here ?

I felt that this line was ok and that if he bets the pot (!) i will fold and if he checks/leads weak i would continue but the more i think about it the more i see that if he has 99+ i will lose alot here if i am not careful.

I am trying to assess my game at the moment and am looking at some spots that i have always taken as standard and seeing where my leaks are i am sure this spot is one of them.

    Thanks for continued input.
