I was completely trying to take advantage of position on the villain. VP 40 PR 20. Should this not be a spot to 3bet and take advantage of someone who will open light? Or should I tighten my 3bet range?

Pretty much everything about this hand is wrong for 3b-bluffing. its an early position raise in a low buyin tournament, there's still 5 people behind you, theres a 10bb stack and the button and blinds are all 15-20, and, ignoring all of that and a few other reasons and deciding to 3b-bluff anyway, 3.5x raise is just too large. save yourself some chips and make it like 25k (but actually make it 0k).

What types of situations do you look for to 3bet bluff?

less people still to act, stack sizes that arent eager to get it in, (a $buyin tourney where people are less likely to just be dumb + where the OR is more likely to fold to 3bets)

how many hands do you have on utg+1? 40 and 20 are scarily round numbers.

not a 4/180 but i would tend to agree in 4/1800s as well.
