Yes this is obvious solution and straightforward play.

Since I was already shortstacked my initial plan was different, I wanted put on the risk 80 chips and see the flop cheaply. Then fold if I didn't connect. It would leave me with stack around 10 BB still enough to make +EV shove later in the game.

I didnt want strightforward play since if I would shove pre and everybody fold I would gain only 120 chips which wouldn't change my situation much and still left me shortstacked. I thought that it would be wasting of AK value in this particular spot.

The EV of shoving AK here is going to be much greater than limping "then fold if I didn't connect".

You're going to get looked up with worse often. You're also picking up 190 when you don't, which is a significant portion of your stack.

I agree tooooo good a spot to passup with ak and 11bbs we are getting called a lot and cant risk that by limping. if we limp sb can complete and we aren't in a great spot 3 way and we are loosing a great spot to get called pre by worse

Making -ev plays so you can make a +ev shove later is not a good way to play.
