What do you think V holds? His line does not make much sense.
Open pre is ok, but folding if field is tough
Check back flop is fine, QJx connects too much of BB defend range
Check back river or bet/fold something small for thin value
As for whether to call here, your logic is ok if specific V is capable of bluffing.
