Right Shove UTG or not? Right Shove UTG or not?

Live superstack £150+15 buy-in tournament in London.

The blinds were at 2000/4000 with a 400 ante ... I'm sitting with 52,000. I wake up UTG with AQ off. I ship it ... it's time to double up or go home, I think!!

Folds all the way around to the BB ... he goes into the tank.. i think he has about 120,000 ... he finally calls with pocket 10s. He wins the race... I stumble out

Did I make the right or wrong shove? What would you do?

Doubt you would post this if you had won the race . Good shove though.

Thanks guys .... true LeProt ... I thought it was the right shove....was doubting it a bit cos my mate was saying maybe I should have folded as I still had a lot of play left.

pretty std shove ... most people in live mtts have no clue of correct shoving and calling ranges so its a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuge +EV spot to shove this

But do you really think he should have called with 10's? Hes quite comfortable in chips, its most likely a coinflip at best and at worst he's crushed. Plus my shove was from UTG. Maybe he could/should have folded 10s?

nope folding is **** stupid. standard hand is standard.

For him to consider folding TT you have to be shoving like JJ+AK which is just not realistic.

Depends on a few things...

1) full table, or short?
2) how close to bubble?
3) what is the OPs image at the table?

I think the tank is proper, and w/o any other info, call with TT is not bad. Chances are it is a wcs race. He could the over pair a lot if the time.

Quite close to the bubble 15 places paid , I think about 24/25 players left. Full table. No image as I was new to the table.

Oak I think its either a fold or shove... I can't raise to 12k with my stack!!

Thanks all for your input

Yea, I think the hands played themselves. Nothing either of you could have done differently.
