If UTG has been tight, his range is pretty good against 88 so it would be a fold.

Not a bad spot to iso-shove if you know UTG is loose.

I'm shoving. UTG's range with 10BB will be wider than a normal UTG range. His minraise suggests that he's willing to fold if re-raised. 88 is a strong hand with 10BB effective and BTN's raise is a desperation move with only 5BB. Since neither player appears to be a threat, let's get them chips in!

I don't think UTG will fold. I also assume we will be against 4 overs which makes our chance of winning 33%

i doubt that. a lot of random villains play extremely big hands like that and i dont think to many people with 12bbs fold any hand after opening especially utg. i dont think shoving is bad tho. id iso shove here as well but doubt that there is that much fe.

A lot of randoms make incorrect raise/folds when shortstacked. Or bad raise/calls with poor cards. It's not a trap as often as it is one of the other two.

Look at half of the threads in this forum. People are constantly trying to raise/fold with <15BB stacks. If we don't take advantage of that tendency we're missing out.
