Nowhere near the money. No read on the raiser, but I've been playing pretty tight. Even if pushing is +EV, would calling or raising less be more profitable?

Shoving for 40bb effective seems a little excessive - i think i prefer either a smaller 3 bet (like 1500) or just a flat

That's what I was thinking at first, but I thought raise/folding was bad, and if I just called, I'd try to get it all-in on an 8 high board, but didn't know what to do if overcards fell.

That is true but i dont think it means that shoving is the best play

Hate it. Flatting or raising is so much better.

Aye, so assuming it's heads up after you're action, what's your plan if you

3bet and
1. get pushed preflop
2. get called, overcards flop, checked to you

Call and
1. overcards flop and he bets
2. overcards flop and he checks

1. Eazy fold. Use all your timebank though.
2. C-bet like 110% of the time, but don't overcommit. 1/2 to 2/3 pot or thereabouts. I expect to take it down a lot of times, give up the hand if you are called and don't improve.

1. Depends on flop and bet size. If it's one overcard ... and maybe you pick a draw ... Can try flatting the flop and taking it away from him on the turn. Decision here is not clear-cut.
2. Bet.
