aagin, apologies for the hh. suted is an unknown so not really too concerned about him. bluewu is a solid regular. i'm pretty certain he would have raised 2 pair hands on the flop leading me to think he has some sort of draw (or he possibly/unlikely hit 2 pair on the turn). is folding here too weak?

against the BB??

he's either got 2 pair or 8c9c.

to me this reads a lot like 2 pair trying to protect from draws.

go with it!

He certainly feels good about his hand. Theres only 54 and 98 that beat you, maybe he has a huge combodraw and is shoving it.

Im not sure what I'd do, but calling doesnt seem bad, neither does folding.

Yeah obv I forgot to put them in. I think he would raise flop with 66, TT so I'd only be worried about 77.

bluewu definitely wouldn't flatcall the flop with a set or 2 pair so i think we can count that out.

If he had two pair on the flop he wouldn't c/c flop, slowplaying T3 ot T6 is horrible here. Same for T7. So the only holdings that make sense are : 54, 66, 8c9c, and maybe TT ? My guess would be 8c9c.
I don't see any combodraws that would improve with 7h ... I'm not playing anywhere near this level but I guess that if he's a very good player this is a (hero) fold, or he is playing two pair in a really bad fashion.
Very interested in the forum regs advice.

Pot the flop.

Bet the turn.

As played, BlueWu's line makes no sense to me. If he's slow-playing a better set, I think it's bad. If he turned a str8 or two pair, checking is bad. If he called a flop bet with 77, he's bad. My sharkscope shows him -1 over almost 3k games (he's blocked himself since I last checked in June). Just because someone is multi-tabling doesn't make him a "solid regular". Look at me.

it was a strange hand. i checked the turn with the intention of CRAI the unknown player. any guesses on what they held? i'll ship $50 if anyone gets it spot on or $10 to the closest.

FA,

With the action I think it is an easy fold, although I would rather bet the turn and protect my hand/get value from other random junk/see where I stand.

i folded & suted called the all in with pocket 6s, bluewu had KcTc and hit his flush on the river. My read was the wrong way round (i thought it was blu that had me beat) but got the right result, probably the cheapest i've ever got away from set under set.

not sure who's closest to getting it right (i knew my $50 was safe haha). either mau or anytwo, i'll ship you ten bucks each.

def. debatable. He is horrible. HORRIBLE. He could very easily have a flush draw, like 90% of the time. I don't hink he would be able to get away from top pair here, so that's apossibility.

Just because you see him in a lot of games doesn't make him a solid regular. IMO he is just soooooo bad. He has some idea how to play, but nowhere near enough to consider him good. With that said, I am never folding a set to him on this board. He just has so many hands that you're beating that he's giving him money away with.

If you did fold and he did have the flush draw, don't worry because as bad as he is, he makes up for it by running well. So he would have hit it.
