They are expected to be in Canada, correct? Assume they are never going back to Mexico.

Is there going to be anyway to get the hotel part of the package, kinda lame for players that live in Vegas. I assume not.

I have no idea how long that page will be up, I had to manually type it in, as it isn't a live link anywhere on pokerstars.com as far as I can tell. I just figured it might be a webpage they have put up but not started linking to yet, so I typed it in.

Can I sell my seat if I win a satellite?

No. You must play the first seat you win. If you are fortunate enough to win additional seats, your PokerStars account will be credited with T$ for the package price, and the spending allowance will be credited in cash.

I have won an NAPT prize package. Do I have a hotel reservation?
Yes, if your package includes hotel. Your hotel room will be booked in your name by PokerStars for the specified dates. Players who have bought seats direct will need to make their own accommodation arrangements.

Both from http://www.pokerstars.com/napt/faq/

EDIT: Sorry for spamming, felt like some of this would clear up some questions from earlier in the thread

Yes.

I have been monitoring this thread, but have chosen to remain silent until I have all of the details 100% accurate (in regards to how entries will be paid/bought in, etc...)

I should be completely clear on how it will all work by the end of the day and will field all questions as soon as I know I will not give incorrect information.

Hello dcarp, How many side events will there be leading up to the ME? Any Limit Holdem events? Also can you make sure they don't wash the carpets in the Venetian leading up to this tourney? The chemicals they use give a massive headache. Also do you know when the tour comes to Canada?

They are piggy backing this tournament onto a previously existing Venetian Deep Stack Extravaganza, the main is now a 5k instead of a 2.5k, but I would imagine the rest of the schedule remains untouched: http://www.venetian.com/uploadedFile...tack1_2010.pdf

Dcarp,
Just a suggestion but maybe bump some of the $300s leading up to the main now? Maybe a 1k or $500 at least? Also, are room rates on the Venetian website? Congrats for making this happen, another boon for the Venetian poker room.

Considering how close vegas and LA are I'm pretty sure I will be traveling back for the main, the vanetian deepstack mains were already probably one of the best mid buyin tournies of the year (borgata and commerce being the others).

The main question i have for dcarp is will it still be the same structure as before?
(think it was 90min levels with autoshufflers, 20 or 25k starting stack and good blind levels). If so along with online sats missing this would be a huge mistake imo

pokerstars please start running step 6's to this so i can fail to qualify for it...

From what I have learned so far (like I said, I'm still gathering all of the details), Poker Stars will be supplying us with a structure. I have not seen the structure, but I know that it will be T30,000 chips and 60 minute levels on day 1, 75 mins, thereafter.

Also, the $5k ME will start on the 20th.

These facts I know for sure...more to come soon.

its prob the same structure as the EPTs then.

if so, 30k starting, 50-100. day one ends after 8 levels at 400/800/100a. its a decent structure, probably a little worse than Venetian structures early, but better as the tourney goes on.

Because clearly, PokerStars should try to schedule their events so as to always avoid the events being held by their closest competitor... especially avoiding scheduling live tournaments opposite online ones, since they have the identical set of participants, right?

Yeah, there will be some overlap of potential players. But only those folks who make it to Day 2 at the Venetian _and_ would have otherwise played the FTOPS main event are affected, and I can't imagine that's going to negatively impact the Venetian event's turnout.

And if it's not going to affect the DeepStack turnout, why should PS care if it hurts the FT online event?
