UTG has been at the table for 1 orbit and this is the first hand he has played. His OPR is -70 % at ABI $3.

Thoughts on all streets please. Also, what range do you assign to a random on various streets?

he has to be really nitty for me not to 3bet here preflop

rest is std. call river. if he has the A he made a good bet cause we cant really fold our hand here.

Then do we 3bet fold?

I prefer a cawl preflop. Crying call post flop.

no, 3bet/fold JJ is burning money with 38BB. flatting is far better.

just saying 7handed i 3bet/call here readless with these stacks and feel pretty good about it.

I can agree with the 3betting 7 handed but personally wouldn't be comfortable 3bet calling ai with these stacks.

lol I'm not a nit I can assure you. The 3bet here is meh. Way behind or 50/50 if we get it in. I'm very happy getting it in with JJ in the right spot but not v utg with an M of 16.

in a vacuum I would still tend towards a call. OP how close to the money, FT are we? How active was villain?

i think we should definitely be 3-betting vs this guy, mainly because he's going to be flatting soooo often and also flatting his original min raise invites more people into the hand. post-flop is well-played if you called the river imo.

What is your action if we raise to 2,700 and villain makes it 5950?

Villain was new to the table (1 orbit) and this was the first hand he opened/played.

This was on the bubble.

I shoved the river. Villain called with 99.

You posted 3bet/call. I assume you meant 3bet and 5bet shove. Just wanted to clarify, thanks.

Calling pf is fine imo. 3betting an utg raise with JJ and these stacks is akward and sucks when we get 4b/jammed on. I'm failing to see how we can get it in with JJ vs an utg raiser readless. Ok so results oriented aside, what was your purpose for shoving the river? I don't see much value and what are we bluffing out?

Edit- I'd just call river, not raise.

shoving river is pretty awful imo. there are like 2 or 3 hands he can possibly call with that we actually beat and it's unlikely he will even call with them (his call with 99 is horrible obv).

Inarguably an EV- shove based purely on ranges, but I felt that his actual range was skewed towards KK- (timings/sizings/line) so shoving folds out KK, QQ and JJ a fair amount of the time, esp. on the bubble. Was v. surprised when he snapped it off with 99.

I think he has to call as wide as 77 for it to be an EV+ shove for value (and no, that's not what I was thinking at the time).
