Why check behind, CO may have a big heart and is looking to outdraw you or may have a boat and wants the board to pair on the river, he will pay to try get there so BET.

I be shipping it on the flop fully expecting to be called by any K, 8, heart, gutshot, overcard, etc. Seriously just shove the flop. Since you didn't, bet on the turn. Checking behind is insane. I don't think you can shove the turn now though, it looks more suspicious than it would on the flop.

no no I did bet the turn, and I was just wondering if this was not a rebuy and a freezout if it could be good here to check the turn. Sorry I should have not said anything about a rebuy.

there is not that much in the pot and maybe hcecking behind on the turn induces tons of bluffs on a bricked river. I dindt say it was the best option was just wondering if anyone liked it.

what i would do in a freezeout is entirely different, but this is the 3 dollar rebuy...in the rebuy period.

easiest shove of all time!

a guy berated me for 10 minutes because his top pair wasnt good against my shove..well gee whiz!

ha you guys are missing what I am saying. I should have never put 3 rebuy in here. I was asking what you would do here in a freeze out and if checking behind is a good option.

No it's awful. Just about the only hand I can think of that would call that flop action then fold on the turn is the Ah. I guess he could give up on a K, but I think it's pretty rare for someone to call a big flop raise and then just give up. I'm assuming you mean checking behind to try and assure 2 streets of value from a K, but I think that's a big mistake. If you're checking behind because you're worried about a bigger flush you're losing tons of value.

Isn't checking the turn behind here almost equivalent to giving up on the hand? It certainly reduces the value you can get on the river, and there are many nasty cards that can pop up on the river which will reduce the amount you're comfortable betting. Certainly I think the best way to max value here is to bet the turn as well. Not sure I'm ever comfortable checking behind turn with that sort of weak made hand, but I may be wrong.

In a freezeout, I am still betting this turn. Make it 700 OTT, and shove any bricked river. Dont shove the turn. You may get called by some moron sometimes(in a freezeout moreso cuz its a rebuy) but I think your missing value on flush draws and said morons will still get it in w/ their k' on non heart rivers

Raise to 475-575 on flop and ship it on safe turns with no read or history

Stack sizes don't allow you to get to the river without stacking off

You lose too much value from big heart draws by checking behind on the turn, b/c really you're probably not going to get much value on the river if you check here. I def raise more on the flop, and bet the turn as well, maybe even get it in as the stack sizes really aren't big enough for you to get away from this hand.

I'm a definite nit. So in a freezout I would probably check behind all heart rivers and begrudgingly call if I was led into. If villain is semi competent he is not calling river with anything we beat. So this being the first level(in a freezeout) I am just checking the river down. I may lose value but hardly ever. Before the river I am happy to get this in all day. In a rebuy, I put it in otr no matter what comes. Just responding to OP question
