Last night I won a $16000 package to 2013 PCA. I am trying to organise things to be able to go.My wife is ill and so I dont know if I can go.
Does anyone know if Stars will allow me to sell the package if I cant go? If so how would I go about selling it?

Begs the question though - why did you play a satellite for a tournament you were unsure you could make?

I believe Ive yet to hear PS letting someone sell a must play ticket, so I wouldnt count on it...

Grats OP, we played against each other (I was on the second table though)

Read lobby description, it clearly says not to attempt the satty if you can't play the target event. They never let anyone sell the package I don't think so, and if they did that'd cause uproar from others that were rejected.

I actually think Stars might listen if your wife is really ill and you cannot make the trip.

I do not think they would give you cash but might defer the entry for a year or provide entry to an EPT.

No harm in dropping them an e-mail and seeing what they come back with.

I would imagine they would want some supporting evidence though.

Email Stars and explain the problem. Its not like you were playing a $700 satelite with a great shot of getting the seat. You were essentially in a lottery.

I think if you provide proof of your wifes condition they at the very least will let you use the package for another tournament.

ive known someone who couldnt go last year because he was sick. they didnt let him sell the package, but rolled it over to the next yr

Yea, that's always gonna remain a very rare case tho.
Here it's not even him being sick, it's his wife.. Would be very lucky to get any refunds/rollovers

my friend broke his leg and was unable to travel to a live event, he got a note from the doctor and Pokerstars allowed him to defer the seat to a later event from the same series. i would definetley explain your situation and they might let you go to the PCA the following year.

hope your wife gets better and Stars lets you play another time. No harm in letting you play another year if you can't this year for that reason. Don't think anyone would really cause uproar for that.
