Hey,

This post is related to my previous post, the thread was called , does hero have good pot odds to call the 3-bet shove. I opened up from EP W/ QTs V shoved over my 3-bet (which i folded). Now this H/H is quite interesting imo ,few orbits later (since that previous hand) i decided to open up here , the same V shove again!!

I was okay with calling here. I'm not going to calculate the pot odds for this hand i think this is call either way, and I guess it's rather close.

thoughts?

london_ace shows [ A, T ]
C0LLAPSAR shows [ 2, 2 ]
london_ace collected [ $6,769 ]

Is the guy I stoved the range for and what range you put him on here a similar 1 to the first ? If it is your gonna need more then about 37% an you have around 40% equity on that range so if you want to take bit better then a flip go for it

Yeah its the same one that you stoved , i guess his range is pretty much the same as the range i gave on the previous post yeah.

btw does poker stove work? for some reason when ever i go on there it never works?

i'd rather use a equity calculate through the web rather then download one ...

plus i'd like to know do we really have to calculate our pot odds with every all in we face pre? OR every call we have to make on different streets ect i'd find that nearly impossible to do if your grinding 4-5 tables LOL, i mean usually i just have a rough idea on when to call or fold ...(pre and post flop) i.e for instance im on a draw and face a pot sized bet i'd fold because i dont have good odds to continue , unless of course stacks are deep and I have good implied odds which warrants a call....

u get me drift ( I hope)

I use equi lab but if you go on gripsed poker training site you can download stove free I think equi lab just as good too ps no can only roughly estimate your odds when playing but when reviewing your hand history's you need to calculate your pot odds and equity propaly make sure your making profitable moves an you start to get more of a idea while playing make better decisions based on odds

Ahh I see, thanks for making it clear.

I sometimes play by EQUIB solution , like i'll have charts in the background whilst grinding , and it tells you which hands to shove from different positions and which hands to call with at certain CSI's (chip status index) it's on that kill everyone book, you've read it by any chance?

Obv not everyone goes by EQUIB but even if they don't its still profitable. however You can maximize your profits by using an exploitive play but if your unsure using equib is fine.

Anyhow I'll check those sites out.

Btw i dowloaded stove but it's not working for some reason. Like below i typed in AQs vs 22+ JTs , KTs+

but it only shows 22+ , basically it does it hand vs hand, why is this?

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 44.569% 44.31% 00.26% 218499192 1291878.00 { AQs }
Hand 1: 55.431% 55.17% 00.26% 272060604 1291878.00 { 22+ }

Confirmed CSI/Kill everyone ITT haha. Defo raise call here IMO. Also if you have poker tracker (and I assume they have this on Holdem manager too) it has a hand range calculator built into the program that you can tinker with for spots like this.

Why not? I noticed I am pretty much the only person here with an avatar of myself and nobody uses their real name. Are there a lot of serial killers on here or something?

The fact that you folded to his allin a few rounds before (almost the same sized bets then too) makes his range a lot wider now doesnt it?
