I don't know if anybody else plays these in lieu of rakeback on stars.

They run a 1 table 280 FPP statellite to the Sunday quarter million. It's six people, 500 starting chips, and blinds/antes of 25/50/10 to start. First and second place gets $11 in T$, and third place gets their FPPs back. It seems like playing these and selling the T$ is immensely more profitable than buying the 5000 FPP/$50 bonus or the 25000 FPP/$285 bonus.

It's all push/fold preflop. I'm debating the best strategy - open shoving around 25-27% of hands, a range of something like 22+,A2s+,K7s+,A2o+,K7o+, or open shoving a range of something more like 22+,A2s+,K2s+,QTs+,JTs,T9s,98s,87s,76s,65s,A2o+,K2 o+,QTo+,JTo, which is closer to 40% of all hands.

Anybody else have any luck with these, or thoughts on open shoving and calling ranges?

It totally depends on the situation.
Your best bet is just play a couple to get a feel for them and then analyze them to death in Wiz.

shoving and calling ranges depend on your opponents and in satellites you'll get some opponents nitting up so i don't know how well static ranges would work
they also depend on position e.g. if you're in the button and the sb and bb are waiting for a good hand, say 10% for AT+ then you can definitely pick up some blinds and antes = good

some players fold until busto, others call with atc's adjust accordingly and when your so short virtually anyting sooted is worth shooving as you gain so much by just picking up the pot pre and cause people with call with any Q high or pp bvb for eg, something like 73s isn't so awful if u get called.

Every low-stakes SNG is a fishpond as long as you run at expected value.
