No, I don't think so. When I X/R this I'm looking for him to fold a lot of his 6x and 7x w/o a club and I think this is okay to do because of my equity. Is this good reasoning or I'm I asking myself the wrong questions?

Yes, I think there are a lot of really bad players in MS (thinking or not) and donks who will do this to try and get me to fold a hand very similar to mine and I felt this was the best way to counter that. I don't think he should have a range he leads with: I think he should be x/r (jamming) his t or m p on the flop, x/r (jamming) his 2p on the flop and probably x/r (jamming) his FDs. If he doesn't jam on the flop; I think he should be jamming his sets on the turn after c/c and finally giving up if he fails to do any of these.

No, I always look at this as one of the fishes many way to extract value but always just consider it a check.

Honestly I don't know any reason to donk bet 1bb on the Ace-high board except of the value betting with the monster hands because no one ever folds to 1bb bet in spots like this.
I might be wrong though, but this is the most obvious explanation. He has A6, A7, 76, any Ax. so, if we raise then they don't fold. if we call and complete the straight on the turn then we can extract a ton of value from those hands. so calling here is absolutely fine.
