The hand histories don't convert properly once in a while from this site. So I had to fill in some of the missing info. If I missed including any info that should be included....let me know.

Cake Poker, NL Hold'em Tournament, 200/400 Blinds, 40 Ante, 10 Players
Tourney is standard $5+.50 Rebuy and Add-On

LeggoPoker.com - Hand History Converter

Seat 1:****Muck ($7,260) 40 ante
Seat 2****waha ($19,609) 40
Seat 3****kens ($20,331 40
Seat 4***Easy ($16,171) 40
Seat 5:**nkh ($15,246) 40
Seat 6**Hero ($7,692) 40
Seat 7: **Cil ($34,509) 40
Seat 8:**BUT ($8,800) 40
Seat 9:**guin ($24,613) 40 SB=200
Seat 10: *VUL ($10,961) 40 BB=400

Pre-Flop: (1,000) J diamond, J spades dealt to Hero, 3 folds, raises to 800, calls 800, Hero???

P.S. - I wasn't sure whether to put this in small MTT or medium MTT. I decided since most players are going to invest a minimum of $15.50 here, & some will invest a lot more, to go with the med. MTT.

I started a thread once to ask what the cut-off number is between the two....& the bottom line in regards to the replies was: there is no set number...just try to make the most logical decision.

I, along with most of the unwashed masses here, suggest that we shovel our chips in to create the maximum level of value...but you knew that and appear to disagree so I look forward to some stimulating rationales and discussion

so there's this sticky at the top of the page

Sticky: Welcome to Midstakes Online from $20 FO and $5r to $120 FO and $30r Live $100 - $1k

which seems to accommodate a 5r since it's explicitly stated in the title

and now why don't you think you should shove here

I doubt op means 3b/c so I'm assuming he's just clueless and wants to flat or somehow rationale folding. I'm 3b to induce but that's just me. Shove is the answer for op since you'll likely screw up post.

In before chuck retracts possible hack

No - I don't disagree with you as you can see below. So - I don't have any stimulating rationales in regards to this hand. And although I lost....I know that poker profit in the long run is accumulated by making good decisions & not in how many pots you win.

In regards to the title of this thread & the line "I think I know what most will say" had a different meaning on my end. A friend of mine was here who is learning to play poker (lol, I can already see the wheels spinning....from you?).

She was surprised that I told her that my best play in that hand was to put all my chips in play & risk being knocked out of the tournament. I had also told her about poker forums in the past & how they work. She asked me to pose the question of going all-in with Jacks when I did.

And I said "I will, but most of the replies to that type of question here will be dripping with sarcasm". The line "I think I know what most will say" was that it would be something sarcastic.

Which I was almost certain would be true because I spend some time these days reading at this forum & occasionally starting a thread. The reason I spend some time here is that I like to read some of the posts & ideas & debates that are obviously written by some very bright poker minds.

And I have seen that if you post a hand that asks "What would You Do" at some point....you want to have one that is interesting & debatable....or you will get replies that are sarcastic & also some that are meant to demean & belittle the poster.

I believe that this sort of thing goes too far on the internet....but hey...it looks like there are a lot of people doing it & a lot that like to pile on. I have played a lot more "live" poker than internet poker in my life (I now live in a state that doesn't have any poker rooms or Casino's that offer poker) and some of the vile, malicious stuff that you see on the net...you'd almost never see in a "brick & mortar" room....& almost every time I have seen that live....the fists will start flying & the security guards will soon be around.

I'm sure I'm older than most of the people here....& I now believe more than ever "to treat people as you would like to be treated" has some wisdom in it.

Anyway - this is long enough already. Next time I post a hand here it will be one that people may/will disagree on how to play it IMHO.

Being older is irrelevant. In fact as a younger person who doesn't put in much volume most of the regs here have played more hands of poker than you and are more in touch with the tendencies of today's games.

Pretty easy shove with JJ here (extremely profitable).
