Jim Routos had a pretty deep run in WSOP Main Event 06. Was on the feature table quite a bit, and almost knocked out Annie Duke with trip nines vs her overpair before she spiked a T on the river. Also think he had some televised hands while at the same table as Jamie Gold.

Oh, and to the one who said that Borge Dypvik is swedish; he is Norwegian. But then again, everyone is probably thinking 'same s**t'

EDIT: nvm, found his twitter

This could be wrong obv, but PokerNews has Costanza in after 2A with 73,700.

This article from CNNSI had him at 56,000 after the dinner break yesterday:

Also, official WSOP press release confirms that Alexander is still alive for Day 3:

Looks like Robl is down to a mere 11,300 to start today.

Good luck to those playing today... (especially Chainsaw amirite?)

Scott Vener has something to do with with the music that finds its way onto Entourage. Tell him that I want the pair of Dr. Dre headphones he offered me last year.

ha yeah, weird, I saw you posted in this thread and was just coming in to say hi and wish you good luck. That was a tough table that year with tran and glantz. gl man, I always mention you when I discuss how my main event tables have been impossibly tough over the years, you played 2009 style back in 2007, don't 4 bet the nit 3betting you with a7o though.

Attention Media:

We deeply regret the following error. It turns out the chip leader from Day 1A [Eric Cloutier] has been verified to have 15,075 chips, NOT 150,750 as has been reported by us. We apologize for this unfortunate error. We take full responsibility. As such, Cloutier should be replaced as the current chip leader with BRANDON DEMES, who finished Day 1B with a verified 137,075 in chips.

Thank you.

*shrug*
I saw that for day 1, I was talking about day 2. If he wasn't really the chipleader before, he actually is now. Although it would be funny if a guy with this guy's past was manipulating his chip count.

Ah, got it now. Makes the whole misreported chip count from day 1 seem weird though unless he ran super hot on day 2.

I have my pink slip with this information on it:

Stuart Taylor, 129500, Blue 30 Seat 2

My day was pretty amazing. Starting at 31k, I rockected up to 196k by the dinner break and was amongst the chipleaders at that time. Then Sorel Mizzi and Brandon Demes got moved to my table and I couldn't win a pot after that. Lost in a couple of marginal spots / bled off to my 130k finish. Happy with the end result if given it blind at the start of the day, but a little tilted at flying so high then falling back to end the day. Still have >100BBs and managed to avoid Sorel/Brandon in the "random" seat redraw.

He was at the table next to me and came over to talk with Sorel quite regularly. He definitely won a mountain of chips when he got AIPF vs Juha Hellpi and knocked him out AA > KK, so I think his chip count is likely accurate this time.

You're listed as B500, seat 2 in the chip counts.

Paul Parker Delighted

Paul Parker seems to have raised somewhere along the line, as there was 7,000 in front of him when we arrived at the table, and another gentleman had all his chips in the middle, to easily cover him. After a moment's consideration, Parker tossed the rest of his 29,000 stack into the pot. It wasn't looking good... Parker: QQ Mr. Opponent: KK Board: 329A.....Q A very fortunate double up indeed puts Mr. Parker up to 60,000. The dealer attempted to short-change him briefly, before correcting his mistake. "I'm just delighted to have any money back," said Parker. "Give me my 29 back and I'm delighted."

Erick Lindgren Eliminated

Vinny Pahuja limped in from early-middle position before Erick Lindgren raised to 2,500 from the hijack seat. The big blind, Craig Ivey, made the call and then Pahuja called as well. The flop came down 984 and Ivey led out for a bet of 6,000. Pahuja folded and action was now back on Lindgren. He splashed the rest of his chips into the pot for a total all-in bet of 17,500. Ivey made the call. When the hands were revealed, Ivey showed JJ. Lindgren tabled a better overpair with QQ. The ESPN cameras were on hand to catch the action and the dealer paused before the turn while the film crew got everything set up nicely. The turn was then dealt and the 7x hit the felt. The look on Lindgren's face wasn't too pleasing. He now knew his opponent could make a straight as well as hit a jack. Another pause for the cameras and then the dealer dealt the river. The river was the J to put Ivey in the lead and with no more cards to come, that would be the end of Lindgren's tournament. He got it in good, but just couldn't hold on. Lindgren grabbed his bag and headed to the exit.

Wong Rivered

Steve Wong called an opponent's all in holding TT to be in great shape against 99. The board up until the turn was looking great for Wong with it reading 4Q8J . However when the river fell the 10, Wong rivered a set to give his opponent a queen-high straight as he slipped to 26,000 as his opponent doubled back to over 20,000 in chips.
Good way to start the day. Suckouts ftw

Please don't let this guy make a deep run. This would be very bad for poker if he did.
