If someone wanted to get a lot out of that forum, start by going through the FAQ with a fine tooth comb before reading anything else imo. After that, just like any other forum here, you need to get to know who to pay attention to & who to ignore.

I'm kinda like that now because the hangovers are way worse at my age than they were 20 years ago. The last two times I was really hungover were preceded by nights where members of sttf were at my house

I had a pretty awesome 12 hour/9k hand 100nl grind to even session a couple years back that ended with me making a straight flush to get in the black.

BBV thread about it.

Finally found a camera cable today. The process went something like me walking into 3 or 4 computer-type stores and starting with, "no hablo mucho de espanol," and then pointing at the place on my camera where the cable goes. Bingo.

BTW, when I've been grinding here in BA, I've had the TV on in the background on either ESPN or Fox Sports (in Spanish), and there's a fair amount of poker commercials and poker programming on. Good to see the expansion of markets still.

Now Stars just needs to sell 10% of itself to Abu Dhabi and see about getting some programming on CCTV in China and opening that market up (one can dream)...

Ingredients:

2 lbs of hamburger (cooked and seasoned to taste)
6 Medium sized flour tortillas
1 can of refried beans. Heated in pan with water as needed.
1 casserole pan (9x12) coated with no-stick spray.
2 lbs. of shredded cheese (taco mix or whatever)

Line the pan with tortillas, cover with thin layer of beans and hamburger.
Cover that with 1/2 lb of cheese.

Repeat until the pan is full, last layer should be cheese.

Bake in oven at 300 or so for a while until top layer is melted.

Slice like lasagna and top individual serving as you wish.. Salsa, sour cream, quacamole, etc.

Maybe $10 ingredients, 1 hour total prep and cook time.

Ok, we all know that playing Poker while drunk is mucho -EV, but how do you make the distinction between drunk and buzzed? How do you ensure you don't come home after a pretty good night and load up a set or two? I'm curious to hear the strategies out there.

I gotta try that (ok, tbh that means give it to wifey). on cook time, wont the top layer of cheese melt before the middle layers? are the middle layers supposed to be unmelted? my wife will roll her eyes and want a degrees and time, at least something to go off of.

If I'm going to work later I don't drink. If I'm gonna drink I'll find something else funner to do than work. that simple.

of course, anyone that has seen me play drunk (gramps, suzzer, etc) will know why I don't make a habit of it

depends on what kind of person you are, what you want to do with your life etc, but it seems like pretty much the best thing ever. i'm super pumped to do it.

Growing up with a family is a lot better than growing up an orphan. Growing old is pretty much the same. Middle age too.

There's room in there for a decade or even two of going rogue.

Right. So I'm 25. I have a few friends who are 30ish with 2ish kids each and they tell me to 'stay single as long as you can' without fail. I honestly have no motivation to marry and deal with little ones for years if I don't have to. And by 'have to' I mean 'have one accidentally'

most people get married and have kids. they get married cause they fall in love with a girl. they have kids cause the girl wants too. it has never been my idea to have kids. I stress out about it too much (lifelong commitments do that to me). I have never once regreted having them though. Once you fall in love with them they are a pretty great part of life.

that said, one of my favorite people ever was a teacher in his 60's that taught where I taught high school for 2 years. he had been teaching in the small town for 37 years and had pretty much taught everyone. He never married, lived in a small apartment downtown. he said he liked to read alot, liked to have things the way he liked them, etc. liked his quiet life. He was loved by pretty much everyone in town. never went any holiday without 10 invites, etc. etc. he was very happy with life.

It's possible he might have been gay and went that route because of it. I donno and it wouldn't matter. point is he lived a very happy and meaningfull life with many people around to love and care for him without going the marrage/family route.

there are plenty of people in the world. no one is obligated to have kids. just live life however it will make you happiest.

fwiw I prob fall in a similar category (except not gay). I have no interest in getting married or sharing my life with anyone. You guys keep talking about how much it would suck to grow old alone, and maybe for a lot of people that's the case. But the thought of committing to putting up with another person's **** for the rest of my life, with the only way out being giving up half of my net worth + alimony while she's out ****ing some other dude in the car I paid for kinda makes me want to go vomit.
