Come on.

Agree replacing the mill wit a $5200 is dumb, why not run bigger buy ins along side the warm up and milly.
Works really well during the scoop

Hi all,

A few updates. I’ve put them in spoilers for easy-reading.
  • Sunday Storm satellites
  • Sunday Million satellites
  • Guarantees
  • Time bank feedback
  • Steps ideas

Sunday Storm satellites
Spoiler:
  • There are two $0.01 3x-turbos per week. They have 15 seats guaranteed and seem to be good fun!
  • The $1.10 Mega-Satellite has had its guarantee increased to 100 seats.
  • The amount of seats generated has increased while the number of tournaments per week has decreased by approximately 50%. This means the average number of seats per satellite has increased significantly.
  • Total entrants in satellites have also increased to a large degree even if you remove the $0.01 3x-turbos, which obviously have many entrants.

Sunday Million Satellites
Spoiler:
  • All satellites will now pay out remainder buy-ins in line with other satellites.
  • The 14:39 iteration of the $1.65 3x-Turbo and the final five Sunday iterations (13:09, 13:29, 13:49, 14:09, and 14:19) have been removed. The daily 14:39 was removed due to the addition of the daily $11, 10 seat guarantee and the five Sunday iterations were removed purely because they ended too late inside the target. The earlier $1.65 3x-Turbos on Sunday already had larger guarantees, so I believe they will grow with these removals.
  • Mentioned above, there will now be a 10 seat guarantee $11 freezeout daily at 14:30. Its structure mimics that of the Saturday version (Bigs structure), which has 40 seats guaranteed. I very much want this tournament to grow!
  • The Saturday 40 seat guarantee has had its Rd 1 MTT satellites replaced with a SNG.
  • The final $7.50 Turbo Deep Re-Entry on Sunday @ 14:05 was removed due to ending too late inside the target.
  • $7.50 Turbo Deep Re-Entry have a slightly different structure. I’ve added two levels (250/500 and 500/1,000 so that late registrants enter with at least 10 BBs. This structure has not been rolled out throughout the main tournament schedule. I will wait to see how the ratio of entrants:re-entries and overall tournament length change.
  • Many Sunday satellites were removed due to not having a guarantee and/or not being well-participated. This includes iterations of SNGs which ran 2-3 times per week on average.
  • The VIP PlatinumStar+ with five seats added has been altered. It has a new structure and longer late reg. The structure is that of the Mega-Satellite but with five minute levels.
  • The Mega-Path has been rewritten. It now has a weekly guarantee of 25 seats and only three rounds. Rd 3 is 3,000 FPPs and a deep hyper structure. Rd 2 is 750 FPPs and a deep hyper structure. Each should take approximately 1 hour to complete. Rd 1 options are: 150 FPP hyper (only 3 iterations on Sunday), 5 FPP 2x-Turbo, 50 FPP turbo, and a 125 FPP SNG.
  • New tournaments have been introduced on Sundays. They include 1R1A hypers, 2R1A FPP hypers, and a $27 VLT.
  • The Mega-satellite has had its guarantee increased to 50 seats. All other guarantees will be adjusted as needed.
  • Any suggestions for new formats to try on Sunday will be considered.

Guarantees
Spoiler:

Any remaining guarantees increased during WCOOP will be placed back to normal levels beginning Monday. Monday will have lower guarantees because many players will be taking the day off after a special Sunday. I will be evaluating guarantees daily beginning Tuesday. Do not overlook that there is a Red Spade Open next Sunday!

Time Bank Feedback
Spoiler:

I’ve not received a single complaint about time banks in the Bigs/Hots/Daily $27/Omania tournaments from this past week. How do you all feel? Positive change overall?

Steps ideas
Spoiler:

With the introduction of VIP Steps, the Step SNG system will be changing. It may not necessarily be on 1 January, but it is inevitable.

I am very interested in ideas for a new system (requiring development or not). The one that I know will be mentioned is using Spin & Go functionality. So my question for you all is: what else? How do we include more buy-ins? How do we increase the volume?

That’s all. Until next time!
09-23-2015 , 07:20 AM
Steps should be 6 max imo.

They should have the new STT structure as was introduced everywhere else this year.

Also, there should be steps mtts. These are (relatively)popular on 888 and will promote them as a whole imo
09-23-2015 , 07:26 AM
I think there's mileage in another levelled steps along the lines of

2.20>11>55>320>1050

And I don't know how, but all 109 "specials" should have a $27 satty
09-23-2015 , 07:33 AM
Steps

$3.30
$11
$55
$215
$530
$1,050
$2,100

$7.50 is too high as is.
09-23-2015 , 08:09 AM
$7.50 is a price point that never made any sense. You guys tried to create random last minute satellites to cater to it, but there just wasn't enough exit points for Step 1 tickets. Steps were obtained from SNGs and the FPP store.

There weren't many Steps MTTs that would allow players to jump multiple steps (i.e. Step 1 tournament that paid Step 4 for top 3, etc). I think FTP did a pretty good job with their program pre-BF.

Whatever buyins you choose, the step ticket should be whatever buyin the Big 11, Sunday Storm and Sunday Million is. If Pokerstars has plans to round to a even #s like $10 Sunday Storm or $200 Sunday Million in the future, this would be a way to implement these from the start.

Also $50, $200 would help, assuming flagship tournaments would also be changed.

What UPAY4DINNER looks good. Round #s would look like:
$3 (maybe $2.50?)
$10
$50
$200
$500
$1250
$3000

I think the jumps should always be more than 2x, so had to tweak the $530 to $1050 part
09-23-2015 , 08:17 AM
3.30
11
33
109
320
1050
2100

Considering that the 320 sko could use a boost and the 265ko should really be changed into a 320 psko anyway

Or

3.30
11
27
82
215
700
2100

Issue is there isn't any 700s on the schedule so either make it 215---1050 or switch the buyins of Super Tuesday and thrill which I think would actually be a good thing but I can see ppl disliking this idea

What obv needs to happen is for you to streamline all of your buyins in accordance to the steps in place such that all satties and steps are satties for 90%+ of mtts in the schedule, ideally also make the sng buyins the same site wide with a few other jumps in between.

There a no point in having 22, 27, 27.50 33 buyin mtts. Just make them all 27. Make big 75 big 82 etc

Given the buy in levels, i don't see how it can be done with one path of steps as some are too similar.

I like the suggestions above but 1050>2100 is too close probably. and i don't think it should ever neglect $215 buy in mtt's.

It seems to make very little sense to me that the 700 and 2100 level gets so much love, given it's only ever used in COOP's and PCA.

I definitely agree with the above that a starting level lower than $7.50 should exist, as it does in the € steps.

One idea is to maybe develop functionality whereby a 2100 ticket can be traded in store for 2 x $1050. and a $700 for 2 x $320 + $t etc?

part of me thinks that splitting off the higher level steps much further will harm liquidity and it isn't great already!

Maybe swapping 700 to $530 could be good?

11r action hour at 14:15CET/8:15ET has been removed from the schedule. Not there today. It is/was a great tournament!
09-23-2015 , 08:49 AM
What about "Step-Ladder MTTs" where the prizepool is split between distributing $$$ and Step tickets.

So let's just say a $27 tournament with 500 runners using the current step buy-ins:

1st: $2000 + $700 step ticket
2nd: $1500 + $215 step ticket
3rd: $1000 + $215 step ticket
4th: $750+ $215 step ticket
5th: $525 + $82 step ticket
6th: $400 + $82 step ticket
7th: $325 + $82 step ticket
8th: $250 + $82 step ticket
9th: $175 + $82 step ticket
10th to 18th: ~$100 + $27 step ticket
19th - 27th: ~$50
etc...

Close, but I think a better idea would be to do what the French sites have been doing for years

hand out Sunday million tickets for top x places that cash for more than 1200$ or so
09-23-2015 , 08:54 AM
weekly sunday 215 zoom, could even make it hyperturbo instead of turbo. Please do it

Issue is it either has to be very late or not on the weekend. I can see it filling a void on Fridays or Mondays tho
09-23-2015 , 08:57 AM
what is the issue with having it very late ? runtime is short anyways

If another day is better id ont really mind, i understand pokerstars doesntw ant many big zoom toernies for obv reasons but only having a big buyin zoom twice a year is : (
09-23-2015 , 08:59 AM
Fwiw I would fire it if it started around the time the 82 4max psko started
09-23-2015 , 09:00 AM
Can we have a Weekly Heads UP on either Monday or Friday please?

I'm thinking $27 or $82 for the usual reasons.

is there a place to leave suggestions for the tentative FCOOP schedule you guys released? http://www.pokerstarslive.fr/news/fc...otre-avis_2596

way too many gimicky tourneys and not enough vanilla nlhe. the 1k PLO as a SKO is just horrible, the format is not suited AT ALL for a game where equities run so close.

do the guys who develop these schedules even play poker?
09-23-2015 , 10:58 AM
This is not .fr thread
09-23-2015 , 11:11 AM
which is why i asked where i can post these suggestions. iirc a stars rep forwarded stuff from this thread to their french division before and i didnt find a dedicated stars.fr thread.

also a lot of guys in here play on .fr and i think they'd appreciate some info on this too. whats it to you anyway?
