Props to Stars for being the number one company when it comes to poker. Instantly fixing all problems!

huge lag today when 1r 3x started
12-13-2015 , 04:42 PM
I think there were again 2-3 major lags today at the very exact times as last week, with only one being a bit odd at 15:15ET (only $7.50 Bounty Builder starts then, that shouldn't be the reason?)
12-13-2015 , 08:13 PM
How come they never respond to these complaints about lagging? (rhetorical question)

Hi all,

This is the final update before I’m out of the office for around two weeks.

180-player Christmas Calendar day
Spoiler:
On 17 December, 180-player SNGs will be the Christmas Calendar challenge. The challenge is to win two 180-player SNGs between 00:00-23:59 ET to receive a random reward ranging from $50-$5,000. There is a limit of one reward per player. The probabilities will be posted alongside the promotion, but players have a 60% chance of receiving $100 or more and a 5% chance of receiving $5,000. You must opt in through the challenge window to be eligible. Feel free to cross-post at will.

Holiday schedule changes
Spoiler:
  • Guarantees will be reduced on Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day. All guarantees will return to normal the following week.
  • The guarantee of The Weekender has been reduced to $75K effective immediately. This tournament cannot continue as is. I welcome feedback regarding how to alter it. Because I will not be around to monitor changes made, I’m deferring changes until I’m back in the office.
  • The Friday 8-Game will not run on Christmas or New Year’s day.
  • Because most players will be able to purchase cash bonuses at the same value as a tournament ticket, the amount of FPP/StarsCoin tournaments will be significantly reduced. Most notably, the Nightly $162 Mega-Path, Super Tuesday Mega-Path, Big $109 Mega-Path, and Sunday 500 25FPP 3x-Turbo will be removed beginning Monday, 28 December.
  • The Sunday Million Mega-Path will still exist with slightly different buy-ins at each level. It will have a reduced guarantee on 3 January (see next item).
  • We will not be running any FPP/StarsCoin satellites from 28-31 December for targets that fall on 1-3 January. We do not want a player on 1 January to have a different target tournament value than someone on 30 December. The Sunday Million Mega-Path will not have Rd 1s until 1 January. The weekly final will have a 30 seat guarantee on 3 January.

180-player Christmas Calendar day promo sounds good. Unlike the previous win two double daily jackpot even though it was awarding $1m jackpot which was impossible to win.

Also I hope when the 180 player Christmas Calendar day promo ends, it would be nice if you guys let us know how many players and how much they won.

Very distasteful sarcasm.

No, it was very fitting... in sharp contrast to your dispensable attempt at trying to show off how politically correct you are.

structure weekender so that late reg is open until the start of day 2 w 15-20bbs

No Brainer ^^

How would day 1 be structured so that you could buyin on day 2 with 15bb? Either day 1 would be a very short day or stacks would be insanely deep. Neither of these seem good.

10,000
25/50-6 16 mins
60bb 16 mins
70 18
80 18
90 18
100 20
120 20
160 20
200 22
240 22
300 22
400 24
500 24
600 24
End of day 1, 4h44 plus breaks
700 25 mins

would help if i knew off the top of my head how long day 1 usually lasts currently. someone at stars should be more than capable of structuring this anyway its not up to me

antes should def be changed from 20% of bb either way, that's forcing things a bit too much imo.

day 1 end time is currently based off players remaining (36 iirc, maybe varys based on field) rather than levels. agree switching to a level system with longer early levels and late reg open till start of day 2 would be nice

Last time I played it and made day 2 I think day 1 lasted 4:45 hours. I also think it'd be much more helpful to make day 1 end at a certain time instead of x amount of players left. If I were a recreational player, open the PS and see they Weekender I would think that's a tourney that takes forever to finish while in reality its finished super early on a Saturday.

Also while I'm all for the 8-max format, it might seem a little intimidating to some?

I sawe somewhere that they would have a promotion for 180 mans tomorrow, is it true?

I prefer putting multiple Day 1s. At least one more on Friday for those who take Saturday off.

Late regging a $500 tournament with 15-20 bigs looks too gamblish. I will never reg on Sunday at least.

Wasn't one of the points of making the Weekender was to get HS players playing on Saturday tho? What's the point of running this as an attempted major if it cannot influence play in it's target market?
