When WSOP is over, guarantees go back up.

Not surprised the nightly tournaments got dropped. The $55 usually gets $35k prizepool even through SCOOP. $25k makes sense from stars' point of view.
3k to 2.5k changes nothing though. That was my point. It will very rarely overlay from 3k guarantee throughout the year and wsop is the exact same apart from it starts less due to needing 9 players. Tonight was the first night I noticed and it hit 31 I think.

Maybe they want to change the 'very rarely overlays' to 'never overlays'.

The 22c went from $25k to $24k but still gets around $26k+ prizepool. Just insurance really.

So the $1,10 6-max rebuy at 22:30 ET is now $750 gtd? I remember when it was $1,5k...

Give out FTP Tournament or Ring Game Tickets for things like the "all in shootouts" or daily freerolls to promote your other site too, which needs a bump in players way more than stars does.

Maybe like
"You've won a 5.5$ Ticket for our sister site FTP!
To use it, easily register an account at FTP or pair your exisiting FTP account with your Stars account"

yeah there needs to be alot more **** like this to encourage stars players to add FTP games to their schedule. I'm sure there are limitless promotions etc you could come up with. Do us proud FTP/stars!

Omaha Hi/Lo players needs more tournaments. I heard in podcast, that U are going to make more NLO8 tours instead of PLO8. That's fine with me, but we still need more tours, beacuse atm we have 10 tours per session, which is very low number compare to NL players, who can easily have 40 tours in session. Main points to dicuss:

- there is big gap from 21:35 CET to 23:35 CET. If someone want to play long session from 18:00 CET with Omania 27 $, there is big problem. I suggest to add at least 3-4 tournaments (for example 13,5 KO, 51 $ HT and 11 $ + rebuy)
- all omaha8 hyper-turbo tournaments with BI 51 $ are in the worst hours for players from Europe - a lot of players would like to play those tournaments in session, so I guess there wouldn't be a problem to add some in later hours
- 5-7 hyper-tournaments with buy-in 5,1 $ during the day with 500 $ - 1000 $ GTD. A lot of omaha8 with smaller bankrolls would like to play those tournaments and I guess it would popularise this variant for NL Hold'em players, because of cheap buy-ins
- More tournaments for morning session. We have Omania 16,5, which is great tourney, there is also 13,5 KO, but nothing more. A lot of players don't play this tourney, because there is no sense playing just 2 tournaments. If there would be added 3-4 tournaments with various buy-in, traffic in Omania would increase for sure (again it could be freez 11 $, NLO8 3 $ + rebuy, 22 $)
- New tournament Sunday NL Omaha H/L [9-max] with buy-in 55 $ - same tourney that Saturday PLO8 [10k GTD], but on Sunday. This is really good tournament and Sunday is always the best for MTTs.
- Satellites:
a) first of all satellites to daily 109$, which heal this tournament
b) daily satellites to weekly NLO8, weekly PLO8 and Wednesday 530 $. SCOOP shows, that there is a lot popularity in satellites o8 to such a tournaments like 215 $. One more thing about satellites to weekly 215 $. In 11+r there is always about 5-9 ticketes, so why PS doesn't give gtd ticketes? It would make this satellites even more popular then now.

+1. Don't want to crush your hopes though, but we have asked from Stars more O8 tournaments for ages and they've done absolutely nothing. Maybe in December (2020)?

EDIT: Except removed their weekly tournaments from Full Tilt. Good way to promote rising format, yes?

So.....I guess we won't see any changes in the schedule this season either, other than reduced guarantees?
06-04-2014 , 01:39 PM
is there server restart tommorow ? ( i dont see morning tourneys in schledue )
06-04-2014 , 04:34 PM

Please keep completed tournaments in the lobby for a longer time (24h after finish is good). It is easier for me to guess when a tourney will finish if I can look back at the same one a day earlier.
06-05-2014 , 12:14 PM
^ This. A lot of this.
06-05-2014 , 02:06 PM
I believe they're removing them earlier because of how many of them are there. What I've done was I spent a couple days tracking in various hours endings of tournaments that I was interested in and I noted that down. It won't reflect for instance seasonal fluctuations (i.e. lower fields in the summer) but I think it does the job.

+1 to this.

Were the lowered guarantees just for last night or are they new for all of summer? Seem kinda low given the old ones never even came close to having overlay most of the time.

Stars could perhaps hide somewhere in the lobby of the tournament a rolling 14 day average finish time for each tournament.
I say hidden in case some people are scared that seeing a long running time will put off some players.
06-05-2014 , 02:50 PM
Just email support, it's not a big deal.
06-05-2014 , 03:58 PM
About time for Omania 44$ and 55$, I think.
55$ PLO Hi to replace the 18:05 CET 55$, and a 44$ NLO8 at 21:05 CET, for example.
06-05-2014 , 04:01 PM
Tracking them myself if an option, but obviously a bit of a hassle. As finished tournament aren't displayed by default (I think, or else it is very easy to filter them out) I don't think the number of tournaments should matter.

Keeping a rolling avg as indication of playing time is a good idea. I think they do it for SNGs, so why not as long as it doesn't scare recreational players away like gollyheck said.

Easiest way is to check on OPR how long they tend to take.
06-05-2014 , 06:53 PM
I mean, how often is it necessary to check how long a tournament runs for? Does this occasional, slight benefit justify the resources required to keep completed tournament lobbies live for more than a few hours after it ends? If you're wondering whether to add the $55 6max but wouldn't bother if it's likely to run for more than 8 hours, then why not just open the lobby for that tournament one night 8 hours after it started and see if it's still running? Seriously how often are people looking at the lobbies of tournaments that ended more than 12 hours ago?

I feel like there are better ways the finite resources could be used. I'd much rather see chipcounts of all paid places in satelites, for example.
06-05-2014 , 08:01 PM
Definitely agree with that last sentence. Please.
06-06-2014 , 12:08 PM
Ha there is WCOOP satelits only for 5200 ME.

Lets hope soon to have more normal/deep satelits for tourneys with BI 109/215/320 etc even if that tourneys are not shedule.
