We had other plans for Thursday. The new tournament in the 'super' slot on Thursdays has now been deployed... first one plays in two days. I hope that people enjoy it... I tend to expect that it will be a big one.

We have an unbelievable number of things going on right now which are taking up promotional space (banners, emails, etc), and this is likely to be the case until probably after TCOOP. So, the choice before us was to deploy this tournament now, or wait until February when we could advertise it heavily. We chose to put it out there now, and let the buzz build from people playing in it, enjoying it, etc. I tend to assume that many (if not most) players would prefer that we go about things the way we've chosen, as this way provides more opportunities to play in the tournament. I have high hopes for this tournament, personally... I think it's going to be a big one. I really hope that you all enjoy it a lot.

Maybe you could start by providing satellites for this? I guess the schedule isn't that overwhelmed with 1k$-sats..


btw how does the GTD work on here?

Right now it says 50k gtd with 2 players registered.
the 50k are now divided into 1k$ Bounty pool and 49k$ regular prizepool.

So if there are 10 people registered, it turns into 5k$ Bounty prizepool and 45k$ regular pool?
50 people registered = 25k$ bounty and 25k$ regular prizepool? where's the GTD here?
80 people registered = 40k$ bounty and 40k$ regular prizepool? still no 50k gtd it seems...

I see there are variable speed tournaments in the KO week.

Can we expect to see some hit the standard schedule? Are bubble dashes forthcoming as well? Assume those 2 formats are somewhat similar?

The "PSKO have 20%" rake is the dumbest argument ever. You do realize that other 50% of the prizepool is awarded to the players? people in this thread make it sound like that half of the prizepool doesnt exist and only the main prizepool is worthy of there hard earned rake dollars. its $2.45 rake on a $27 buyin in the greatest tourny format ever. If you think the rake is unfair don't play them simple as that.

Bryan, I posted this 30 minutes before you made a huge post last week so you probably never saw it. Any thoughts about doing something like this for a $5 rebuy or $10 rebuy?

if you don't see how the KO prizepool differs from the main pool in terms of distribution among the winning players and potential for profitability then I don't know what to tell you tbh

Even if you were 100% right (you aren't) please don't come into a Stars suggestion thread and advocate for high rake.
