Hello all,

Some more questions to reply to this week:

We have been through many rounds discussing additional rebuy tournaments, but at the moment we are not going to change our minds on this.
As for this specific suggestion, we have already tried out the $7 90 man rebuy, but it hardly ever ran so we removed it.

This would not go down well with most recreational players, so we have no plans to let tournaments start on a break.

This tournament was moved a while back. There is limited space for Sit&Gos under this tab, so we prioritized putting the smaller buyin tournaments there. I think that random players are more likely to see and register for those stakes than for a $35 tournament. Those who want to play the $35 will normally know where to find it.

Just to be clear. You want 'Sit out All' to apply to tournaments that might start while you are away from the computer? If so, we will definitely consider it for future development.

Thanks,
Baard

Could we get an update on registering for multiples of the same tournament? Have you considered a "register for the next x number these" kind of function?

Would be pretty sweet to be able to register once for the next 12/20 or whatever that pop, perhaps within a preset time frame to avoid complications?

I for one have never heard of a $7r, maybe you could advertise and/or promote it better?

(rain)

When will we finally see the improved (ie. fully customizable) tourney filter? v7.0? Dare you to launch 7.0 without a much better filter

Exactly, thanks.

I disagree with this Baard. I definitely launched $35s (or i think they were $36s) when I was a random recreational player. Rec's see that they can "sit and go" for the chance to win ~2k and go for it.

35 fields are already very tough with small ceiling ROIs, we need all the rec players we can get in them. Those who want to play 35s know where to find them, but rec players looking for a quick bink certainly don't.

If you do this can you please make it so that we can add any game type to our favorites?

My previous pokerroom had that and I used to play a lot more there than I do on PokerStars, while they obviously had a lot less traffic. You could always get to any game in 2 clicks.

Don't hold your breath on being able to use Steps tickets for SNGs any time soon.

Only yesterday in his Q&A thread in the zoo, upon being asked whether Stars will have SNG tickets in the store like Full Tilt does, PokerStars Steve posted that they probably won't be allowing it

So, aligning the buyins with Steps seems pointless imo, and a $60 SNG is more likely to go off than either $82 or $100.

D'you not think it'd work that players might use the steps tickets they've earns on these games though? Regardless, I think 27's would get a fair but more traffic but you're right about 82's if not.

I guess I'm biased as I enjoy playing steps SNGs from time to time and would love to see the games run more frequently and the tickets be of more use. In my simple mind it seems obvious that if there were more $27/$82/$215 tournaments there would be more demand for steps tickets, so there would be more steps SNG traffic and stars would get the benefit of guaranteed additional rake from tickets.

I guess the problem is that Stars suspect more people would drop out before step 5 if there were more opportunities to do so, but I'd argue that the kind of people who will play $7.50/$27 SNGs and keep playing up to and beyond the $700 level just because they have a ticket are exactly the players that won't be jumping off the steps train when/if more opportunities become available. Right now anyone who wins a step 2 ticket can play any $27 MTT, and anyone with a step 4 ticket can play the million/warmup. I don't see what harm it would do to the liquidity of higher Steps if more $27 exit points were made available, in fact I'd suggest it would improve liquidity as there would be more traffic at lower levels and therefore more tickets in play.

Sorry, I've rambled on a bit. And this isn't necessarily a MTSNG-specific issue.

A bit of nostalgia here, but I would like to see a $22 180man reg speed come back.

Those were the times. even if only 1-3 per day (if that) were running.

The 11s are never running. So why put 22s in the lobby then?

@PokerStars Baard
any chance of a continious (mtt)sng promo, as those golden sng's where booming the volume this week.
Really really nice even tho the roi increase is less then 1%, those sng's where filling really fast.

ya last Monday there was a TON of sng traffic for the 180s, but that seemed to die down a little bit as the week went on and the hype wore off. More golden sngs would be nice tho

This has probably been suggested a few times, but, Baard, do you know if stars has any plans to implement an "Im ready" button to resume final tables during break if everyone wants to continue play? This would be especially helpful being heads-up in a SNG at the tail end of a session

maybe this is not entirely related to MTTSNG but it would be good if one could choose different table( or window?) backgrounds for different kinds of SNGs, for example Iam currently playing 2 kinds of SNG $1 90 man and $0.5 360man, and the style of play should differ a little between them, so it would be very useful to have a good visual clue about which SNG is which without having to read the window title etc.
Its possible to do this with the current software but you have to select "apply to: This table" from the menu individually

This would be more appropriate in the Stars software improvement thread in the Internet Poker forum - http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/28...thread-119016/

Hello,

Been very busy because of player meetings and other pressing matters, so unfortunately there has been little time to address the issues raised over the last couple of weeks. Hopefully, this post will catch up on everything.

We are still waiting for the Easy Seat functionality to be stable enough to be deployed. Once that is in place, you will be able to use it to control your sessions.

The $7r was there, I promise. Promoting a single tournament out of many is not usually a good way to spend our resources. Those who are interested in playing MTT SNG's knew it was there, and it still didn't get a lot of play. It got the same amount of promotional attention as other new formats that have been successful after being added. It was clear that the player interest just wasn't there.

We have spent a lot of time on the filters for PS 7, and I both hope and believe you will find that the changes are for the better.

I am not really disagreeing with you. Putting the tournament back in Tourney/All would make it run more often. However, we have to make some choices when it comes to which SNGs to put there, and we concluded that there would be a lot more players looking for low buy-in tournaments than for a $35 one.

Unfortunately, I don't think there is room for this tournament in our offering right now. The 180 tournaments that we currently offer are probably the extent of what can be deployed without granulating the liquidity too much.

We are not looking to add more continuously running promotions at this time. We think that keeping things fresh will be more interesting and engaging for players.

Yes, an 'I'm ready' button is in the plans, but unfortunately I cannot give a time line for when it will get done. We are focusing our resources on finalizing PokerStars 7 these days, so other developments will be slotted in as there is an opportunity to do so.

Thanks,
Baard

Speaking about what is fair, 180s should be in Tourney->all. In fact, out of all formats that could ever be in Tourney->All, 180s are the only legitimate one, because 180s are MTTs. 180s are basically an "MTT and go"

Players that are in Tourney->All are specifically seeking MTTs. I opened my client right now to Tourney->All and I see great strides have been taken to cut the filler out from 30 sngs or so to 10... very good. But IMO the *only* sngs that should appear in tourney->all are 180s. This includes $35 (atleast at onpeak times), and it includes $2/180s which are by far most popular.

I understand this will/(may?) get cleaned up by PS7 but want to point this out.
