Gimbel Doubles Through Ravn

Harrison Gimbel opened with a raise to 165,000 from under the gun and when the action reached Aage Ravn in the big blind, he moved all in over the top putting Gimbel to a decision for all of his chips. Gimbel made the call (1.505 million) and a showdown soon followed:

Gimbel: {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs}
Ravn: {A-Clubs}{4-Hearts}

The board then ran out {7-Clubs}{8-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{K-Clubs} and Gimbel's jacks held up to win the pot.

After the hand, Gimbel was back up over the three million mark in chips while Ravn dropped to 2.1 million.

Shulman Ships a Double

Barry Shulman made it 180,000 to play from the cutoff seat, and Benjamin Zamani called from the big blind. The flop brought out {J-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds} {3-Clubs}, and Zamani tapped the table. Shulman fired a continuation bet of 450,000, only to see Zamani moved all in over the top of him. Shulman considered for a moment before making the call for his total stack of 2,155,000, now all in and at risk of elimination.

Showdown
Shulman: {A-Clubs} {Q-Clubs}
Zamani: {Q-Diamonds} {10-Spades}

Shulman only held ace-high, but he was in the lead as the cards laid. Zamani was drawing for a nine, ten, or king to knock off his opponent. The {4-Hearts} on the turn was a safe rag, and the {A-Spades} that rivered secured Shulman's double up with a pair of aces.

hmmmmm possibly a pokernews reporting error
