So turtle laying 9-1 that he wins the leaderboard.

Does that make him the outright favourite? What price on AprilFools, ramondemon77 for example? i dont know enough about it. Wouldnt 'the field' (ie. all unknowns) be a relatively low price?

Guess the fact that hes willing to grind relentlessly (and that he has the skilz) gives him a decent edge to start with + you cant guarantee that level of commitment from any other player? which would make it difficult to set prices for all possible winners.

Still, it seems a good bet to me - so many non poker related unknowns that might stop him from playing necessary volume. find it interesting that S Deeb who seems like a very shrewd prop better quotes 15-1.

Doh. Sorry -stupid me. I just skimmed the thread.

Your backing yourself at 9-1 to win vs field.

GL - sure youve got a decent chance.

No need to answer if you don't want to, but are you still backed by Collin? I think if you get a ****ty start (if possible) to the new year this could have some bearing on your ability to keep grinding/crushing. I kinda doubt you are still, just curious.

If you give me 20-1 odds I will go for TLB vs the World and start with $100 in my account

there's no way that would make it twice as difficult, pretty sure you'd be playing your regular schedule within 2-3 weeks

how much you willing to bet on this one?

how much in total action are you looking for?

Also wrt to odds, the odds are what anyone is willing to bet. The line could be 50-1 if he finds enough people to give him action on that number. If potential bettors feel 15-1 is too high then no one will bet the OP and his line will obviously have to come down if he wants any action.

thanks for the lesson, fascinating!
do you think that means we shouldn't discuss what we think the true odds are?

sorry but anyone who lays 20:1 for starting with $100 is ******ed. boku87 got his account up from $100 to $10k in 2 weeks, you're not boku but in like 10 days or 2 weeks max you've got enough in your account to play like 95% of your normal schedule.

1st bet is closer, 1 year is a superlong time and to bet you'll beat everyone in a year is pretty audacious. i don't think i'd bet at 9:1 but at like 6:1 or 5:1 i'd def put down a few k ... prob more but short right now.

Why does everyone keep saying a year is a long time?

a) it's not.

b) doesn't the 100 top scores requirement for TLB mitigate the "length" of the year anyway?

c) Nick Rainey would probably spend a year in jail on a prop bet.

the risk of ruin on $100 doesn't make it 2x as difficult?

This. It's not easy to run up $100 into a healthy roll overnight. Now if he could reload the $100 if he goes busto it wouldn't be quite as difficult obviously.
