Why not just go all the way and do jello pit wrestling if they really want ratings.

So I probably will avoid freezing to death. Probably.
the main thing is just staying dry. you will fall at least some, and at those temps the snow will be wet. so main thing is just outer shell type stuff that keeps you from getting wet. it rains enough in florida you probably have a rain coat/shell that well work, so you just need something similar for your legs.

I'm cheap, if it was me I'd hit the thrift stores and find something there. then buy something nicer if you decide you love it.

I doubt that CQ is concerned with his lack of snowboarding expertise. Rather, he is looking to "dress to impress" the ladies. Thrift stores are a great suggestion, but true snow-bunnies will spot him a mile away...

I say go with newest, trendiest and most expensive possible. Performance be damned!

Ones I have now are pretty thin. Also I snowboard and my boots fit well. I'm never freezing but its just that in cold weather my feet get a little cold. Problems in the first world etc

This thread has to be literally the most thought and effort ever spent on what kind of geared to wear skiing in North Carolina.

I don't know where that is, but I was surprised to hear NC that's for sure.

+50 degrees

saw django today. really, really fun movie.

also there was a family, actually, 2 families behind us. i dont mention this as a "kids being annoying in public places" thing, because they were incredibly well behaved. we were just shocked at how 2 families brought their small children, in strollers, to see django.

micro, dont take your daughters to see django. please.

Of course not, but if those kids were in strollers, they may have been babies. Babies don't know ****. It's fine.

They have a theater in Oakland we used to take our first born to that has a "baby brigade" where people bring their less than one year old kids. She saw (well, not really - that's the point) The Exorcist there. The movie we saw that was most disturbing to the babies (we thought so anyway) was Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolff, which is just two adults arguing a lot.

balllllin'! kinda surprised you went with the s60, so many people pass it off as a chick car (because models in the past were), but I think it's pretty sweet. congrats!

12-31-2012 , 04:33 PM
Hah I didn't realize that was him. Just thought it was something he stumbled on.
12-31-2012 , 04:36 PM
Does he have some futuristic car that drives on railroad tracks or did he just manage to get a sweet looking car stuck on them?
