Shyam dont you think the 5-max format could be spread more widely? The format is very good and exclusive to your site, it is something would make players prefer FTP over other rooms, altought you have one tournament in constant decline which is just isnt really a surprise putting it to the peak of the peak time for $25 buyin....
How about adding 4-5 5max tournies during the day between 5-50 buyin and see how it goes?

I dont know maybe its latest update consequnces but my sound volume always sets at maximum value every time its my turn to act.

@landlord: why should I - earlier I was just looking if the player had silver edge or better to define regs, now it's edge or player's club. player don't grind that immense amount of tables like on stars, where you can get goldstar without being a good player at all. FTP seems a bit different.

That's definitely a possibility. We need to make a change to how KO guarantees are calculated before adding a real SKO guarantee, though. Right now we don't include the KO bounty as part of the guarantee, so it would make what will be an already small guarantee look twice as small.

The Sunday Brawl is actually going to become a $100 tournament with the new schedule, so I don't think that will fit unfortunately.

That's true, and we'll consider it after the new schedule is launched, but for now we just aren't getting enough interest in non-NLH tournaments to run with it.

We've opened up the GotW tickets to be usable in any tournament of that buyin, so they're pretty flexible (and were all purchased/won at the GotW discount). If you absolutely positively hate everything being offered, write to support and I'm pretty sure they'd be able to help you out.

Yeah, we weren't very impressed with the takeup of our 5-max tests, but it's quite possible we didn't give them enough of a chance. We'll look around the new schedule for possible places to keep trying it out.

I actually think this is going to go away at some point. It wasn't really meant as a fish finder.

It means they won a "significant" prize in The Deal. I think significant means any of the cash prizes, but I'm not 100% on that.

It is! We've got a preliminary schedule drawn up, and are looking to finalize it this week. Hopefully it will launch soon after the Classic wraps up.

To keep everyone's expectations realistic:

The main goal with this update isn't to increase the number of tournaments, or the guarantees. The main goals are to lower the average buyin across the schedule (I think the current average is somewhere around $22 and the new average is $16-$17, so it's pretty significant) and decrease the number of "filler" tournaments that weren't doing anything so we can focus attention on the guarantees that remain.

So it's going to be very understandable when a good number of you in this thread (especially the higher stakes players) hate the new schedule, and all I can really do is apologize in advance. We'll still have some higher buyin tournaments to play, especially on Sundays, but on a daily basis the buyins likely won't fit your play.

if you can condense the schedule down to a level where some of the guarantees are good, then please consider paying more than 10%. It seems to fit in with the rest of your direction of making the experiences more enjoyable for recreationals!

I think 5max the way you handled is one of the most greatly missed opportunities that I feel could be making a lot of difference.

Considering it takes up for the space/attention for 2-3 another "good" tournaments, being exactly in the middle of peak hours where anyone for the slightest looking to include such tournament into their session and all this with the fact its lineup sometimes outright star-studded compared to the buyin levels standards, if nothing else confirms how vital the format is the fact that somehow every day it do takes off instead of getting voided unlike many others (which at the best plays as a 2-3 table SNG). I honestly do not believe there was ever a single person considering this particular tourney as the best investment for their money.

The structure is perfect with 5k starting stack and antes from the begining so please dont change that. I also think you'd want the lower buyins as re-entry while the higher one being KO's would allow the fans to spread across the buyin levels more comfortably.
And you absolutely want a 5-max major! Open up Saturday for it as its being the shorthanded day of the weekend on other sites, early euro afternoon / NA morning would be a perfect time especially across 2 tiers like 10/100 or 5RE/50KO to fit more in line with the new sched

Thanks for the update. Def. think you're on the right path with a contraction in the offerings and a lowering of the abi.

One of the biggest problems F/T has had since its re-launch is it's "positive" history. Yeah the "negative" history didn't help either.
What I mean by the positive history is people remember huge FTOPS, huge cash games, tons of pros etc and lots of excitement. All of that was prior to BF and the market has changed significantly since then. Upon re-launch far too much energy was wasted trying to duplicate that scenario in a market that can't support 2 big dogs.

For MTT's F/T needs to focus on 10 good tourneys a day and make them relevant. If F/T wants an idea that will guarantee 500 people logging in daily for a must play tourney then they can get in contact with me.

Out of those 10 solid offerings the key is to get consistent growth and once the prize pools hit a certain target where a "pro" feels it's worth his time then I wouldn't be surprised to see a sudden uptick in the runners. But that should be down the road.
