when i first saw these i loaded up 75 2.20s and made 40$ profit

Now i just 30 table the 10s. If the 20s and 30s are so soft i might have to give those a try too.

also venetian do you think playing turbo or regulars are better? currently im just doing the turbos.

id like to see at least 1 of the next 10 posts in here discuss omaha double or nothing sngs, instead of NL HE ones.

I am playing nowhere near optimally. I love 60sec timebank, please keep it. Also the play in these is so ****ing atrocious my head hurts
10-07-2008 , 10:02 PM
Lipo, Venetian, anyone else who's played a bunch,

What kind of ROI do you think is possible in these?
10-07-2008 , 10:05 PM
there's also already idiot regs all over, had 6 reg behind me earlier wtf
10-07-2008 , 10:08 PM
Why do you want a 60 sec time bank?

When I did a 15 table sesh(not mah pc so cant 30+) some guy who was 10tabling was using his time bank all the time it was so **** ennoying.

On the other side I guess I could 40-50 table with the 60 sec time bank easily.

Even though it says "official double or nothing thread", we could get rid of the poll. Also, in the first post, we could have some quotes/figures of some expected winrates/ROIs, as well as general strategy tips and buy-in levels and things of that matter. then in the thread obv. we just talk about more strats and winrates and how much we love playing something different.

or not, w/e. just would be nice for a lot of nice info on this sng to be collected into one nice post

I wish these filled faster cuz I love PLO. The $5.20s load painfully slow. $10.40s are even slower. Like all the rest of the low stakes PLO SNGs on Stars the players are beyond horrendous and have absolutely no clue how to play Omaha. I've played around 600 of the various normal turbo PLO & PLO8 sngs...6 max, 9, 10, 18...they play is so bad it's entertaining. In my huge sample size of 5 DoNs I've cashed in 4...ship it lol.

No antes in these.

I 20+ tabled the NLHE $5.20s last night and could not believe how fast they filled...and that was before they lowered the rake. I'll keep playing those, but I sure wish the PLO ones would get some more action. I'll play the few PLO ones that fill though.
10-07-2008 , 10:30 PM
Yeah I really really really wish the Omaha DoN turbos would fill up. I can load 2 dozen hold em turbos before one Omaha turbo loads.
10-07-2008 , 10:37 PM
No doubt Crackedquads! You'd think the fish would be all over PLO...since they get "two holdem hands" instead of just one loooooooooooooool.

I'm going to try to get in a real sample size for these but it could take a very, very long time.
10-07-2008 , 10:47 PM
I'm a really poor PLO player but am taking one down as I type this.

Donated 500 chips before sitting out for an orbit or two. Came back with 900 at 75/150. Took the blinds then doubled up, then sat out and won it. EZ

normal 9 man turbos are taking a lot longer to load lately.
10-07-2008 , 11:24 PM
Couldn't get any omaha DoN's to load so I unregged and played another set (12) of the hold them pokers. Up 8 BI's for the session. It helped that I had 2 different supernits from my NL25/NL50 days playing in almost all of my tables, and one of them was on my left for almost every table.

The regs playing at the 5.20-10.40 levels are ridiculously bad. I love the random platinum star ones who 16+ table and get it in 7handed with 13bbs with K6os and ****. I mean, why?

Because they haven't adjusted yet I suppose. I've played about 200 of these so far and I'm still adjusting and improving my game in DoN's.

I was playing the $5s and am currently at the $10.40s. I'd like to jump into the $20.80s soon but everytime I check on the games I notice a couple of solid regs in all the lobbies. Guess I'll stay at the $10.40s and work on improvamentaments.

Lol you do realize I was mocking fish who think it's 2 texas hold them hands right? That's all their brain can process. The ones who look down at AJ66r and think it's the nuts cuz they have AJ AND pocket 66s! I mean why would they want 4 cards that work together when you could have a pocket pair and a big ace! Oh how I love the preflop starting hand selection of the fish...almost as much as I love them stacking off with TP on an insanely draw heavy board and being flabbergasted that their hand was no good. I'm so sad that more fish don't play PLO sngs. I wonder if we can recruit somehow.

Was donking around in some $3.40 omaha 8 STTs about a week ago, and watched as a player very willingly stacked off with QJ10x on an AxxxK board on the river. I lol'ed and lol'ed

Ok so what the **** is going on here? That graph is proof that there is something immoral about DoN SnGs.

This post of BradleyT's is from this thread.

This is why wiz advocates folding our entire ranges (inc. AA) in many situations near the bubble. Seat 6 has 34x the stack of seat 3 but only 8% more equity. The equity gained by risking your tourney life on a double up isn't nearly worth as much as the equity lost by busting. If seat 3 shoves and loses, he has a loss of 11.7% equity. On the other hand if he shoves and wins, his equity gain is only a fraction of his potential loss. In extreme cases like these in seat 3, obviously if you just fold fold fold you will blind out and taking a stand is necessary, but now we have to choose the least -EV spot, as according to wiz we can't make an EV+ play at all besides folding and in all likely hood blinding out.
