Hello,

I'm missing a number of hands from when you had system issue about 6-10 minutes ago.
I cannot find them and the results in the database, but I do see my funds lower in my account.

See printscreen.

Looking for places in the US (maybe Mexico or Canada) for a short vaca with the honey sometime in May.

Not Las Vegas, we live in NY, not Florida. Considering Cali and New Orleans - anyone have other fun recommendations?

Cancun is fun - I've been there a couple times. There's a lot to do around there. We're going to Cozumel tomorrow. That looks like a great place as well.

There are some areas in Mexico where you definitely want to avoid. The drug gangs used to avoid the tourist areas, but I heard they recently have been raising hell in Acapulco.

What kind of vaca? Lying on the beach or sightseeing? Utah, arizona, colorado have some amazing scenic places to visit I can give you tips on if you want a hiking/mountains type thing

ya , I enjoyed Carmen de playa (spl?), you can see Cozumel like 8-12 miles from de playa beach so you can go to the little fun town of de playa and catch the water ferry and be there in no time. Also if you stay at an RIU resort than you can eat free and use all the services of any of them, even the ones in Cozumel

have fun cha!

Edit: really just depends what kind of trip you want. I'd just go somewhere I've never been mark it of the list. Hawaii would be cool imo but probably expensive

I like sippins idea too

New Orleans seems rather horny. Doing a Vancouver/Victoria/Tofino trip would probably be lovely as well.

Any of you guys have exp living in Denver? It looks like I'll be shut out of all the PhD programs I applied to (at least no funded offers) and my best option is probably a double masters at UCD. I suppose I'm not really asking for pros and cons because this is where I will likely end up given I can't stand going home and trying to make it at poker/get a real job. More looking for positive reinforcement to make me feel like my life won't be a complete failbag if I go out there.

I have a buddy who lived there for 5+ years. Same impression, pretty cool and laid back, if you like the outdoors, it's pretty awesome for that. Can hit the slopes in < 2 hours during boarding season too.

The house he and another guy rented was near Washington Park, seemed like a great neighborhood and lot of 20s-30s people seemed to live there. Maybe not right-right out of college, but not too old as to be un-fun.

Also, for some reason the Bud and Coors they sold in bars was 5% alcohol, whereas they'd normally be ~3.5% if you bought them in the stores. Be careful of driving after a few of those. Also, it seemed like there was some great city planning in the development of parts of the City, as there was some good roads that cut through the heart of densely populated areas with few stop lights.

Drove from Vegas to Denver in one day (750 miles, beautiful but would break that up), and from Denver to Grand Tetons in one day (~500 miles?), so you have some really cool stuff drivable distance if you want to go exploring in the summer.

That all sounds p awesome. I'm having a tough time not thinking of myself as a total failure but that makes the next couple of years seem brighter.

AFAIK Budwieser has always been bottled at 5% (BL at 4.2%). I generally consider 5% as the standard for stock beers and expect micro brews to be bottled a fair clip higher esp if you drink hoppy stuff or any dogfish. I'm from Stl and been on the bud tour a few times fwiw.

Oh **** that reminds me that have a ton of micro breweries in CO. Avery ftw!

Beero, the pacific NW is fun. Especially in may when it isnt raining. Might look into Seattle and Portland.

Beero, as a non-American, I think anybody who lives in the US and hasn't been to Yosemite is committing some kind of crime, so I'd prob go to CA and do some heavy National Parking while I was there....

Don't forget the bear spray :-/

edit: or you could just take the polite way and talk yourself out of a confrontation

Sick brag. Between you and Slacka I'm quite jealous as it must be super fun to be part of that ride!

On a different note:

As a Californian:

I thought I'd post this here as I was Skyping with my sister today on relationships and online dating and while there hasn't been a daily "zomg, i want teh womenz in my lab class, wat 2 doooo?!11eleventy" it still seems applicable for discussion or digestion:

==================

My buddy (non 2p2, although it was Elektrik, former STTFer, who first introduced me to PUA, MM and initial theory in general) & I put some thought at one point into something we developed and termed "The Relationship Triangle." There were three main parts, here is an overview:

1) Physical compatibility - this is what ppl say when they say stuff like "that guy isn't typically my type" or "there was just this really hot energy between us"

2) Commonalities - this is things you share in common and how "on the same page" you seem to be. For instance, if you start finishing each other's sentences, or can just go in and out of conversations and the different levels of them without confusion or "work", you have this

3) Values - this is all the deal-breaker values you have. Like for instance, wanting a family and not wanting kids are values. Liking Tom's toothpaste is not a value. Blonde hair isn't a value. Detesting religion is a value. Being catholic is a value. This can also be renamed "personal standards"

The general use of thinking in terms of this structure is that many, many, many people who were getting into dating (online or in person) I noticed often totally, completely missed one or more of these areas either emotionally or logically when finding a "+1" for whatever life situation they were in. Ppl wanting to be married often just concentrated on #3, ppl who just wanted sex concentrated on #1, and everywhere in between.

Obv I'm hyper analytic and logical so a structure was v helpful for me to think through, but even when discussing and talking through things with women and men who "feel" through their relationships exclusively, this really helped them identify what part of their dating/social/qualifying process was broken.

So I was trying to remove a virus from my computer and it looks like I deleted the wrong .exe or exefile registry key. I can't open anything that ends in .exe which is basically....everything. Am I fuxxed?

Zion and Bryce are the most stunning parks I've been to. If you're already up by Glacier, stop through the Badlands too, its like going to Mars
