i found out they have a scenario generator!
running some numbers:
if the rest of the sweet 16 plays out as my bracket has it (OSU, UNC, kansas, purdue, notre dame, syracuse, duke, arizona) i would be in a 5 way tie for the lead. i suspect one of them will lose, and i think that'd be arizona. in that event i'm at 100 with the leader having 108
my predicted elite 8 is tOSU v UNC, duke v uconn, kansas v purdue, butler v florida. let's say butler, uconn and unc lose. this puts me at 125 with the leader having 141.
my predicted final four is tOSU, purdue, duke and florida. let's say florida loses. this puts me at 143 with the leader having 159.
my predicted championship game is duke v purdue. if this happens i'm 161 with the leader having 174 and can't do any better than 4th. if florida gets into the final 4 in this scenario i'm 2nd
anyway, back to basics: if i happen to go 8-0 with my games tomorrow i'm in a 5 way tie for 1st at 104. if my final 4 teams and butler advance into the elite 8 (go 5-3 in the sweet 16) i'm tied for 2nd at 129 and the leader having 135. in that scenario all that matters is that duke and purdue make it to the championship game with duke winning. even if my other 2 teams (florida and tOSU) lose, i still win with 169 and 2nd having 166. if duke and purdue make it to the final 4 i win if purdue makes it to the title game and loses regardless of who they lose to, i finish in 2nd if butler beats purdue and duke beats the east winner. i finish in 2nd if purdue wins the title
