sounds good in theory but they will never fill. The only days they'll fill is Sunday IMO.

im looking at a 30$ 180man right now. its been running for 82 minutes and its 8 handed at 1500/3000/300. seems about the same

The only solution is to reduce the variety of buyin levels. Make it

$32.55
$54.04

Then you may have a good "population" at each level.

Too many buyin levels just dilute the games.

with all the new level let the 3R like that.

you want to get people to move up, not "somewhat" down. think about it, if you used to play $12, now it's $10.85. same for other buyins (these are 45man buyins):

$12 -> $10.85
$27 -> $21.7

I play the 45s and I'm pretty appalled by the rake increase and change to payout structure.

when stars did there surveys who the **** said "more rake please" in the questionnaire?

its a 50% increase on rake and a decrease in payout structure for top players.

10 is too much with the new structure.

the $11/180s are also not shown in the tourney -> regular -> low lobby yet

the $3.38 and $22/180s are there

Thats exactly what they are at 6 min blinds, they had it perfect at 10 min blinds earlier in the day and they went and scrapped it, pure greed imo

I agree. EDIT: But still have the 5.43s as replacement for 7.70s. I think this and the too fast end game seem like the only major remaining issues. Am gonna grind a bunch and see. Problem is i always come 19th anyway ...

When I first saw the changes, I was pissed of that Stars removed a historic tourney like the 12/180s only to replace it with a hyper-turbo.

But essentially, the changes boil as follows IMO:

1. The 3 min level turbos along with the added levels should play very similarly to the old 12/180s.

2. The decreased buy ins were made in order to correspond to the decreased traffic after the withdrawal from the US market and thus boost SNG traffic.

I am concerned that:

a. Fish might get confused by the 6 min level tourneys which should run like old 12-15 min level regular tourneys, thus dividing traffic.

b. That part of the edge good players had in deeper levels will be lost thanks to casual players getting better acclimated to shallow stack play thanks to the gradual blind increases.

Either prospect seems far-fetched though.
