Take a guy who achieves his 100% ROI by mincashing for 2x the buyin every time and compare it to a guy who achieves his 100% ROI by winning a 100 person winner take all tourney once every 50 tourneys.
Answer(assuming 50/50 deal) : The backers ROI is either 50% or 1%

Oh, OK, you're assuming the backer is paying at a rate of 2:1, if it's the standard 1:1, then how the horse creates the ROI doesn't make a difference, right?
