I'm frustrated with my tournament performance. I am making a dedicated decision to get better...I currently am cashing in about 20% of full field tournaments per official poker rankings which pisses me off b/c my roi is like -50. I am a winner in cash games so not negative. I seem to make the money and then get busted out once I get down to around an M of 10. My biggest reason for roi is I have not made thru to any final tables yet, and no I don't play tight around the bubble to make the money. I'm fairly TAG however I do switch gears quite a bit and take some flyers. Maybe thats the problem. Anyway anyone have any good suggestions on reading/web content for MTt/fullfield tournaments. i've read harringtons books and just picked up killphil. Not much else on tournaments though.

quit nitting it up. play more agressive. dont hesitate to race late in tourneys.

youll eventually break through and get lucky in one of these things. in smaller buy ins which we play most people play so weak, i think you can really exploit them late. you are most likely one of these players.

start going after blinds more. MORE AGRESSIVE.

Sample size? Maybe you just haven't gotten lucky enough yet if it's too small a sample.

Try joining a training site there are lots of good ones.

Here are some very good articles by 2p2er Foucault: http://www.thinkingpoker.net/Blog/20...day.html#links

Also check out Bond18's articles for lots of good fundamentals (anyone have a link?).

Cashing big in big MTTs does require a good amount of luck so sample size is important.
Being ITM around 20% is pretty good and if you feel like you are not playing too nittish, then I guess you will just have to wait and see if you make a few FT's. They come in bursts, too!

i think too tight late is probably right on, i've been close to the lead late in several only to watch my stack dwindle due to keeping my same starting hand requirements, I'll play some more and post some hh. thanks for the links to articles.
