Mid-Late Tourney Strategy?

I always seem to lose chunks of my stack in mid-late stages, and so i rarely go for the tourney kill. Even if I am way above average stack in early stages, I almost always take a dive and go bust in the middle or late stages. Usually, I'm stuck in one place while the blinds grow and eat me up. So this only leads me to think that I am obviously missing some knowledge of strategy during those levels.
Can anyone direct me to some articles you think were helpful to your middle. late stage game? Or advice here would be fine as well.
