Does anybody play in any live tournaments that run weekly in or around Dorset/Hampshire UK?

I live right on the border north of Ringwood and would like to start playing somewhere on a weekly basis. Any advice on where to go would be appreciated.

In Hants you won't find much more than the £20/£30 tournaments held at the Grosvenor's in Portsmouth and Southampton. Cash games can get fairly juicy though.

No clue about Dorset though.

Hey man, I'm in Blandford Forum some of the year. Bournemouth Gala has a tournament series with some kind of freeroll at the end of it for the top players, or maybe it just pays out.

P'mouth and Southampton have tournaments every night, as does B'mouth Gala. I'm a cash player myself but any of the above 3 casinos have decent tournaments, B'mouth is mainly self dealt from what I've seen though.

The Gala Bristol one only counted for a couple of nights per week (Thurs and one other, if I'm right - I think it was to make up for it being a £10+3) but the freeroll was pretty sick - 4 fig scores up top and a quadbike to the winner

Shame I don't play the absolutely terrible tournaments on a Thursday!!
