Quick live hand that probably seems standard but mainly a cash game player so go easy....

14 left in a live $550 rebuy tourney ($93K to 1st). Probably 40% pro's left and the rest are super fishy.

CO opens an 18bb stack to 65K at 15/30. Older guy who has opened a couple times in similar position. I have 15bb on the button. What is my shoving range here? Should I factor in bet sizing (min open vs open shove) into his range? Do ICM considerations come into play here (12 pays an extra $1500, $93K up top)?

Please keep in mind this tourney is live as I'm sure online strategy would be different due to stronger fields.

gratz on the deep run.

77+/AJ/KQs without much thought, but i can be way wider than this in certain circumstances and rarely tighter. with 15BB i'm looking for opportunities to jam over mid-late position opens and sometimes it doesn't take much.

with 450,000 chips and blinds at 15,000/30,000 a raise of 65,000 is barely more than min. from cutoff. I would 3-bet but not shove with AK, AQ, AJ, KQ to get a read on whether he's going to shove back at me (fold) or let me see a flop and play it post flop in position. I'd shove with pp 10s or higher.

AJ+ or almost any pocket pair....when a player raises this amount it usually means junk or AA KK. I would guess he's trying to see a cheap flop/take the blinds. With 15 BB you don't have much time to sit and wait to get premium hands.

I think he's calling a lot more than you might think.. he barely has you covered and prob isn't opening 18bb light with very serious intent of folding.

When he does call, I expect him to have absolute worst A10ss, 66+ but lots of AK, AQ, JJ, etc and would exercise restraint vs this villian/stack without premium hand
