Limits and BR question Limits and BR question

Here's the question thats been asked a million times. How many BI do need to advance to the next level. Currently playing one 5+.5 and one 10+1 (both 9 mans) at time. Am at 360 on the BR. Am I already over extending? I have been successful over 34 SNG's (+130) but the beginner's forums say I'm over extending too much. Any opinions from the specialist? And when should I be looking to step up to the 20 dollar ones? Also what are the worst down swings you guys have experienced when playing 9 mans?

Thanks guys

100 buy-ins is the general guideline. 34 SNGs is such a small sample size some people play that many tournaments in an hour. You need thousands and thousands of tournaments for a decent guess at something close to your true ROI. You can get by with fewer buy-ins if you're willing to move down levels when you lose.

Swings can be worse than you've ever imagined.

I've been looking at the sticky, and is it going on the assumption that you are playing Turbos or regulars SNGs? Surely there must be a difference in bankroll requirements, because there is higher variance in turbos, but the sticky makes no mention of htat.
