$400 entry tourney. Blinds 100/100. Starting stacks 20k.

First level, someone leads for 300. 4 callers follow and hero flats in BB with 44.

Flop is 4c9dJd.

There's 1,900 chips in the pot. Checking and giving so many players a free card is not an acceptable option on this board.

How much do we lead out for here?

about 3500 should do.

I'm checking for sure. The chances that this flop gets checked through feel like about zero. I'd check/raise big to try to get the most $$ in on the flop. If someone c-bets like 1400 I'd make it like 5600 and just try to get stacks in on the flop.

I don't love leading here just because a lot of hands that will call your lead will also bet (Strong J, 2 pair, Axdd, combo draw)

Agree with this on so many levels. I would like a X-raise line more than leading where you are unlikely to be raised by worse.

Think I would check raise a flop bet. If it checks around which seems super unlikely on a wet board.... I would lead close to pot on safe turns.
