Villain is 10/8 over a small sample and has got a very good SS record.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t50 (8 handed) Poker Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Hero (t1275)
UTG (t795)
UTG+1 (t2680)
MP1 (t1425)
MP2 (t1660)
CO (t2545)
Button (t1390)
SB (t1730)

Preflop: Hero is BB with J, J.
1 fold, UTG+1 calls t50, 2 folds, CO calls t50, Button raises to t250, SB folds, Hero ??

Good. I'm not losing my mind then.
Don't really need to hear from others

Yes I know, I know, this thread sucks. But with all of this happening, I have to question myself.

for 10/8 guy that raise is maximum JJ+,AK, how good JJ plays against that?

Yeah, I know. That's what I thought at the time too. this shouldn't be a thread. Thanks.

unknowns with small sample size (both ss and hands played) are capable of dumb stuff and wider ranges. i always kick myself if i give them too much credit and then they down worse than i think.

with that said, i am folding pretty quick here.

I think you have to fold here.

I agree with the fold against this particular opponent, although the sample size is small.

I'm probably shoving against an unknown.

think about it, w/ stack sizes, shoving here is just awful

Why is it awful? I understand vs. this villain it is awful, but against more aggro players why is a shove with these stacks in itself awful?

You can sit down with a piece of papper and figure out what ranges he needs to be raising with and then calling/folding to a raise to make your shove worthwhile. Against most players you will see (and be called by) AQ+,99+ most of the time. You are not a big favorite against that range. I would almost rather call a shove since I have seen a lot of people that will push 66-QQ,AK in this place but who will raise with AA, KK. YMMV

Assuming that's a typical calling range, you're 50/50 against it.
